The Witcher 3’s next big expansion launches on May 31st

The massive world of The Witcher 3 is getting even bigger very soon. Developer CD Projekt Red announced today that the game's second major expansion, called Blood & Wine, will be launching on May 31st. (The first, called Hearts of Stone, came out last year.) And it's a big addition: the expansion will feature series hero Geralt exploring a new, Italy-inspired location called Toussaint, and the developer says that it will feature more than 30 hours worth of content. A teaser trailer shows a world that looks much brighter and more colorful than the main game; Toussaint is described as "a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom."

May is turning out to be a big month for RPG expansions: Fallout 4's first major expansion, called Far Harbor, is launching on May 19th.
