Weekend Walk-In
All new for 2017: it's AVAM's Weekend Walk-In Workshops!
Drop-In Visionary Workshops for All Ages!
- Dates: SATURDAYS: January 7 ● February 4 ● March 11 ● April 8 ● May 13 ● June 3
- Time: 1pm–4pm
- Cost: $5 per participant (museum admission not included)
- Ages: All ages welcome (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
- Where: 2nd floor Classroom, Jim Rouse Visionary Center
Join us for a hands-on, drop-in, art-making workshop once a month in the AVAM classroom! Our Education staff will help you explore new creative territory and make a project inspired by one of our beloved visionary artists. Supplies and boundless inspiration provided!
Please Note:
No advance registration or payment required, just drop-in on one of the above scheduled Saturdays to participate. Payment can be made by cash or credit at AVAM's Front Desk, or at the Classroom when you arrive. Museum admission is not included in the cost of the workshop. Workshop will run while supplies last.

Use our random fun fixins to create inedible works of art!

- February 4th: Cosmic Egg

Make your own mini version of artist Andrew Logan's Cosmic Galaxy Egg sculpture with a special clay-like material and sparkly bits!

- March 11th: Food-o-Rama

Create a food-centric scene in a small box!

- April 8th: Recycled Bot Shop

Bring new life to recycled and found objects and create a reclaimed robot!

- May 13th: Visionary Luminaries

Create a lantern using a jar and colorful paper, complete with a flameless candle!

- June 3rd: Mosaic Frames

Get inspired AVAM's shiny walls & create a mini mosaic picture frame!
