Steven Universe is a Cartoon Network show from Rebecca Sugar, an Adventure Time alum and author of Pug Davis. It is the network's first series to be created and headed solely by a woman and an openly LGBT individual.Note The series follows the Coming of Age adventures of a boy named Steven, the youngest of a team of magical guardians of humanity: the Crystal Gems. Steven may not be as powerful or savvy as the other Crystal Gems, and he may not have much control over his powers, but that doesn't stop him from joining Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl on their magical adventures and finding a way to save the day. As the story continues, Steven starts to find out what exactly they're saving the day from, and the plot comes to encompass much more than just one sleepy beach town...Steven Universe has had a (non-canon) Crossover episode with — of all shows — Uncle Grandpa.There have been a number of comics from KaBOOM! Comics. The first series, Steven Universe, began in August of 2014 and ran for eight issues, with a short teaser story released in the Adventure Time 2013 Spooktacular. A four-issue miniseries was released in 2016, titled Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems. A graphic novel was released in 2016: Steven Universe: Too Cool for School. A standalone mobile game, Attack the Light, was released on April 2, 2015 for iOS and Android. It features a self-contained story written by Rebecca Sugar and turn-based RPG gameplay along the lines of Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario. A sequel for consoles, titled Save the Light, was released on October 31st, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and November 3rd, 2017 for Xbox One.A second mobile game, Soundtrack Attack, was released on July 21, 2016 for iOS and Android, in which Steven and the Gems help a rogue Gem escape from Homeworld. It is a Rhythm Game featuring remixed music from the series.A third mobile game, Dreamland Arcade, was released on November 9, 2017 for iOS and Android, in which Steven dreams up an arcade full of games with the Crystal Gems (and Onion) as the protagonists.The series has an official Character Blog, Keep Beach City Weird, written from the perspective of supporting character Ronaldo Fryman.
