The MapQuest Help team is here to make your transition to the new MapQuest.com as easy as possible - please read through this guide and let us know if you need any more help or if you have any ideas to share with us!

1. System requirements

Please make sure that your web browser is up to date. See below for a list of the web browsers we fully support on MapQuest.com. You may click the following links to download the newest version of each browser:

• Mozilla Firefox
• Google Chrome
• Internet Explorer 10+
• Apple Safari (for Mac users) version 9+ for best results

We understand change can be difficult and keeping an outdated browser around can be tempting, especially if you’ve grown familiar and accustomed to using it. However, it’s important to note that older versions of browsers can lack important updates that help to protect you from security risks on the web, help websites to load faster, and also reduce the likelihood of websites crashing or freezing.

Starting in July 2016, classic.mapquest.com will be going away and you’ll need to be sure to upgrade to a fully supported browser in order to continue using MapQuest.com.

Technically, we can only support the browsers mentioned above. If you use another browser and are unable to access our site, we recommend downloading one of these browsers.

2. Get to know the new MapQuest.com

Check out FAQs for our most popular features by clicking the links below. While the look and feel is different, the new MapQuest.com is equipped with the same great features you’re used to, and then some:

Find Places - search for addresses, businesses, points of interest, cities, and more
Get Directions - access turn by turn walking or driving directions to the places you discover
Print or share your maps and directions - or, send them to your smartphone and open with the MapQuest app for voice-guided, turn-by-turn directions
Log in to the same MapQuest account you used on classic - or create a new one
Save frequently used locations to your account as Favorites
Create, save and share custom maps with My Maps

3. What’s new?

According to our users, here are a few reasons to love the new MapQuest:

• Faster loading and simpler to navigate
• Sleeker, easier to read maps
• The ability to explore places and discover new adventures with local content 
• Customizable maps that allow you to plan your getaways and share them with friends and family
• Less intrusive advertising

Beginning today, your My Maps and MapQuest account will only be accessible on the new MapQuest.com. The look and feel may be different than what you've been used to but all of your saved data will still be accessible.

To check out the new MapQuest and take advantage of our upgraded accounts and My Maps features, click here and then click Log in, or Sign Up if you don't have an account yet.

Once you're logged in, your My Maps, Favorites, and Account Settings are accessible through the Account button:

Thanks to some great feedback from our awesome users, you now have an easy-to-use print button on all of the pages on the new MapQuest.com. You can find it in the Map Tools section on the right side of the page (the same place your zoom, satellite, and share icons are located)!

Whether you're looking at a map you've manually zoomed into, a search result, or driving directions, just click the Print button as shown above to print out your desired map!

Click here to reset your password, and follow the steps below: 

1. Enter the email address associated with your account
2. Click Next
3. Check your inbox (or spam/junk folders) for your password reset link, and click on Reset My Password 
4. Enter a new password that generates 2+ stars, and click Reset Password
