Planning for a Drupal Meetup Ahmedabad - June 2016

Who'd be up for a Drupal uncamp?
Here's my thought:
This would more technical and for more advanced users and we'll be playing with Drupal 8.
It would be either a half- or full-day get together at Belmar Library. I'd prefer to plan for a full day.
We'd meet on a Saturday (my preference), but we could choose a different day (maybe a Friday?) based on interest. Note that the library is open only from 12 - 5 on Sundays. (http://jefferson.lib.co.us/locations/belmar-library)

Bootstrap as a library
I always encourage my people to do things the Drupal Way. Even if it is tougher at the beginning, usually pays at the end.
When we started working with Bootstrap we look the "Drupal" way to load the Bootstrap files, what means library style. The surprise was that at the end you need to save the files inside the theme.
A few time later we had the chance to load the files via CDN, but with Bootstrap 3 and the anoying IE8 compatibility we were obligated to install the Bootstap files locally again.

Google Summer of Code 2016 - Selected Projects
Did you know Drupal was accepted into Google Summer of Code 2016 and that 11 Drupal projects were accepted? In other words, Google is funding 11 people to contribute to Drupal for 10 weeks worth a total of $60,500 USD (thank you Google!). Congratulations to selected students who are collectively credited on more than 100 issues fixed in the past 3 months on drupal.org. Coding starts May 23rd and ends August 23rd.
