Just a quick note: ČR (Česká republika) is the Czech (short) name of Czech Republic. Áo is the Vietnamese name of Austria.

Also similar issue is with Burundi (BI) and Belgium (BE): BI returns Belgium. http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/xml?sensor=false&components=country:BI

This is impacting our product. We pay a lot of money for Google Maps. Please fix - this doesn't seem like rocket science. Either a string is an ISO-3166 code for a country, as the spec requests, or it is not.
