Add map styling similar to the Javascript V3 api. Mimimally, allow the developer to cusomize the colors of the various components (roads, landscape, etc) drawn.

Really could use this feature! Existing map colours are too complex to integrate beautifully into a UI scheme.

People, please - could you stop writing about how it would be great to have this feature?

If you think it's important and have nothing meaningful else to say - just star it. It's enough.
I hate getting notifications about nothing (you are gonna get one too right now - enjoy)

In the meantime, if you REALLY REALLY need this feature and only for limited locations, i suggest you to do what i did: create an overlay using a service like mbox with the style you want and a custom tileprovider to provide the tiles.

That's odd but ATM the only way to achieve this.

I agree with Peter. Styled Maps are a must-have also for Android API.
Both to customize colors and to hide/show features.

Please add it!! Pleeease!

I hate to do these kind of posts but these is open since 2013. I'ts 3 years ago, ages in tech-time.

I can't believe this is so hard.
Can't you make a javascript setting pojo that allow setting colors and require it to pass before initializing GoogleMap object?

This ticked has been marked as "NeatIdea" and has an internal issue around 10 months ago, mind providing us with some update?

Thanks.

Is it possible to use Javascript Google Maps within embedded browser on Android? With that being said we can style maps as it is Javascript Map. What are drowbacks here?
May 26, 2016
#54 [email protected]
Yes you can do it, using a webview. but you will loose some of the native features. Maybe you don't need them.

Yes but please realize you are spamming 369 people. The more you spam this list the more people un-star it and the less 'weight' we have in asking for this feature. (sorry for the spam, )
