Trademark owners will be able to register .blog domains associated with their brands during this period. August 2016

Landrush

Before .blog becomes available to the public, domains may be registered during the landrush period on an application basis. October 2016

General Availability

We plan to begin offering .blog domains to the general public before the end of the year. November 2016

Do I need to use WordPress to get a .blog domain?

.blog domains will be available to anyone around the world. A WordPress.com site is not required when registering a .blog domain. You don’t even have to use WordPress.

How can I reserve my .blog name?

Trademark owners should apply to register domains during the sunrise period. Other premium names may be reserved during the landrush period. Sign up below to get updates as we finalize the timeline for launching .blog.

How much will a .blog domain cost?

While not yet finalized, domain registration prices will be in the standard range for new top-level domains, with some premium pricing for higher-value names.

Why doesn’t this site use a .blog address?

We’re going to as soon as we can — but they’re not available yet, even for us! As soon as .blog domains are available, this site will move to its new home at get.blog.
