The actual polls themselves never bore out that 99% figure, especially the final polls. 50/50 would have been a much better prediction figure based on what the polls were showing.

So yes, I tend to believe scientifically conducted polling. It's the pundit's attempts at interpretation that I have a harder time believing.

The "same polls" pegged Clinton winning nationally around 3%. Lo and behold, she won the national popular vote within the margin of error on that. The final-day polls had a virtual tie in all of the "shocking" swing states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan; Ohio was solid Trump in the polls for the last month and both Florida and North Carolina were big question mark tossups.

No matter how much you folks like to say the polls were rigged and completely wrong, they weren't. Pundit interpretation of the polls was wrong, absolutely. The polls themselves did a pretty good job of presenting the snapshot of public opinion on Election Day.
