Doctor Strange director on casting controversy: 'I am listening and learning'

Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson has weighed in on the uproar over Tilda Swinton’s casting as the Ancient One in the forthcoming Marvel movie.

“Raw anger/hurt from Asian-Americans over Hollywood whitewashing, stereotyping & erasure of Asians in cinema. I am listening and learning,” Derrickson wrote on Twitter this week.

Swinton is playing the powerful sorcerer in Doctor Strange, a character who has traditionally been depicted as an elderly Asian man in the source comics. For the film version, the Ancient One will be of Celtic descent.

Cannes to showcase John Malkovich movie no one will see for 100 years

A movie no one will ever see is set to have a display at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

100 Years – The Movie You Will Never See, starring John Malkovich and directed by Robert Rodriguez, will be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival this month. The film, first announced in November, was made in conjunction with Louis XIII cognac and won’t arrive in theaters (or whatever theaters are called in the future) for another hundred years, on Nov. 18, 2115.

Avengers: Infinity War titles could change: Russo brothers

Avengers: Infinity War - Part I is set to arrive in theaters on May 4, 2018 with Part II coming one year later, and both remain on schedule — just maybe with new titles.

Speaking to Uproxx before the release of Captain America: Civil War, directors Joe and Anthony Russo said the two-part Avengers film is expected to undergo a name change soon.

'True Colors,' from Kesha and Zedd, has finally arrived

After days of teasing, Kesha’s first single in three years has arrived. Called “True Colors,” the collaboration with Zedd includes the defiant chorus: “All my life, one page at a time/ I’ll show you my, my true colors/ No, I won’t apologize for the fire in my eyes/ Let me show you my, my true colors/ It ain’t no rainbow.”

“It’s here!!!!” Kesha wrote on Twitter in announcing the track’s debut.
