Welcome to Files for Upload, part of WikiProject Articles for creation. This process was created to allow unregistered users to add new files to Wikipedia with the assistance of experienced Wikipedians. If you would like to upload an image yourself, you can create an account and after four days and 10 edits you will be autoconfirmed and able to upload files. However, please consider uploading free files over at the Wikimedia Commons (instructions for creating an account there can be found here).

Reviewing requests

If you are an experienced and autoconfirmed editor, then you can help out by reviewing requests. Make sure you're familiar with Wikipedia's policies on non-free content (or simplified version). Learn about Wikipedia's various copyright tags. Read the guide on how to review file upload requests. Note that this page's editnotice contains an expandable cheat sheet with all the templates used in reviewing requests. After uploading the file tag its talk page with {{subst:WPAFCF}}. Remember to subst all templates. Notify the requester at their talk page using {{subst:ffu talk}} ~~~~ whenever you act on their request. You are responsible for anything you upload, so make sure you are comfortable that the file satisfies Wikipedia's policies first. If the file is non-free, then you must insert the file in the appropriate article right away in order to comply with the non-free content criteria.
