    so for myself I find a huge relief in CSS frameworks. I feel like they move me on abstraction level with “good parts”. narrow(er) set of composable elements, with certain design decisions taken care of, and obscure parts hidden away in the basement somewhere.

    CSS is wonderful, but somehow not for me (it’s me). it just can be so paradoxically... not visual. like clearfix. visually obvious (this needs to go around that), technically solved with obscure invisible incantation to the depth of rendering engine. maybe add a bat wing.

    getting firmer in opinion that one goal for next year would be to migrate to static (or retire) my personal WordPress sites. hosting costs feel like a waste and I don’t think block–centric vision aligns with my current direction in content production, data structure, and design.

    I always strive to represent problems visually (be it end result or intermediary step) because I am significantly better at making something *look* right than *math* right. honestly they should teach math with pictures, not numbers, to people like me.
