Realized something very basic but still quite amazing today, that will save me from spending ages writing regular expression: Since tidyselect functions return integer vectors, we can combine them with intersect, union, and setdiff. It made my day :-)

I've never been more THRILLED by an R question of someone who wants to just be in the loop, but I'm struggling to think of the best practical strategy to advise for someone who wants to do it in moderation 😂

and all of the rich design ideas nestled **within** packages like usethis, devtools, etc. which just ever so gently nudge your thinking towards great, user-friendly design principles

But also looking for ideas on how to help her find more of the "little" things, e.g. not whole packages but more "ideas" like -- hey, if this is all written in YAML instead of plain text then we can we can easily map through and parse it back out

Hey , what's your *most efficient* way of "stumbling upon" cool new R tools to try? Got a great question from a colleague about how they can start discover new things to give them their own ideas, and I'm trying to think of practical advice beyond read Twitter 18 hr/day

Super excited to try 's {gt} pkg for making tables, but I'd like to formally protest raising the bar on the amount of detail expected in a hex logo 😭

🥳I'd be pumped if this tweet had only taught me about Critic Markup. 10x better is seeing a bridge in the works for easy collaborative RMarkdown editing with non R users 😍

Ladies, if he: - wastes your money - makes it hard to work with others - locks you into long term contracts - patronizes you with point-and-click GUIs that don’t preserve data lineage He’s not your man. He’s legacy enterprise stats software. Dump him for some

Great jobs require interesting work and strong leadership. After listening to ‘s episode of ‘s DataFramed podcast, it’s pretty clear this role would have both !

Sample code runs like a charm and is extremely easy to adapt to link to other types of text (e.g. geom_text versus axis values). Just have to change setNames() and it all flows through

Does the tidyverse team have a view on community pkgs named "tidy-X"? Good (R package "fan fiction"?) or bad (piggybacking off brand; quality/style variable)? Never met a tidy pkg I didn't like so 100% not directed at anything just curious fr the OS mgmt perspective

Nothing like starting the morning with a good book! Thanks so much, ! Beyond teaching R to finance people (+ vice versa), so far its a fascinating case study in pkg design to explore three different coding paradigms to accomplish each example
