Most Popular articles of 2016#genealogy #blog #statsI know this stuff interests some of my readers, so I threw together some approximate numbers for some of the most popular articles this year.
The site received roughly 2,3 million hits this year, fairly evenly distributed over the year, with about 190.000 hits hits per month, despite periods in which I wrote little or nothing.
I took those numbers from DirectAdmin, a popular site admin tool. DirectAdmin shows numbers for the 30 most popular items of each month.
That leaves out articles just below the top 30. Tallying those does not provide exact results anyway, so I did not bother to rigorously add them for an ostensibly exact count, but did a quick mental additions instead.
As usual, the GeneAwards were popular, especially during January, shortly after publication:
