Vive Le Crepe's freshly windex'd windows glimmered at me last Friday morning. I'm not a fan of crepes, but I figured to have a whole store dedicated to crepes there HAS to be some goodness to it. Crepes are simply a thin version of a pancake to me. I noticed on their menu they serve 'omelette crepes.' I, of course would order an omelette crepe because I choose to be fat whenever I can. At first I was going to get number four, then switched to number eleven. A lot of eateries will get bad reviews from me just from lacking authenticity. I didn't watch the people behind the counter make the crepe but I could taste that they didn't use an actual egg to make my omelette. The omelette crepe is big but lacks flavor. If you've read previous posts, then you know I heart my goat cheese. The goat cheese in this triangular piece of breakfast taste a lot like cream cheese and nothing like goat cheese. The mushroom pieces were chopped. I think thin slices of mushroom would have been better. Also, if you're going to offer something with spinach in it shouldn't the spinach be well done. Again, I didn't watch them make the crepe, but I feel like the spinach just went on to the cook top while the omelette and/or crepe was cooking. At the end of the day I don't like tough spinach. I don't like raw greens or nearly raw greens. Don't forget, I'm not a fan of crepes so this review may be a little biased because I won't be going back. I also don't feel right saying if this is a HOT or a NOT, a GO or a NO.
