#When #my #mind #is #judging, #my #Soul #is #reflecting ...

there is some sense of entitlement in being judgemental, this entitlement validates the judgemental attitude. The acidic aspect of the judging criticizing, sizing up, dismissing, and diminishing those around is pretty much hidden, well within the thoughts or so we think.

And it does happen eventually that one realizes within that "our judgment of others is an extension of self-judgment"; and the self-judgment is so ingrained, so normal, we don’t even recognize it.

And this above thing, realizing, awakening happens to almost everybody, and follows the thoughts like:
- I have strong opinions,
- I am decisive,
- I am able to “evaluate” others.
- I “get” people.
- I understood where they are coming from, their motivations, and why they said what they said and did what they did.
- etc.

After I found out (through reading on the invisible aspects of human existence) the seat of my thoughts is in a principle that is dual in nature and function I could understand that why it is so perplexing to understand the two sided nature of judgements and judgemental nature.

I now understand that my ego has two aspects to it, one aspect is related to my emotions and another to the wisdom.

SO in the statement "When my mind is judging, my Soul is reflecting" the judging part is that of the one related to my unruly emotions and the reflecting part the one related to wisdom.

It is said that when a person opens his mouth he speaks of his nature/character. This is because in the attitude, tonality, gesticulation, pitch, vocabulary, and much more he gives away his state of mind that is directly related to his ego and gives an indication whether he is being ruled by his unruly emotions or the wisdom inherent in each one of us in the form of our Soul.

Also it is said that what irritates me or triggers me is an aspect of me. What I understand it as, today is - the Ego which is the repository of all my karmas, my attributes, my lessons knows what I am, what I have come to learn in this lifetime and plays the game of energetic attraction and repulsion to bring experiences my way, and without telling me (hahahah).

So while I am living in those experiences puppetiered by my Ego (the aspect of the Ego related to Soul), my Ego (the aspect of the Ego related to Soul) is evaluating my progress in that particular lesson, whether I have learnt it, how much have I internalised it, how much have I digested and assimilated it, whether I am embodying it by acting upon it or not and how and how much and so on and so forth.

While I am living in the experience puppetiered by my Ego (the aspect of the Ego related to Soul), my Ego (the aspect of the Ego related to Emotions; the mind) is enacting it all out.

While I live, my emotion and my thinking capability is so much into each other, one affected and effecting the other, that it is difficult to say whether I am ruled by my emotions or my thoughts. This is so because my ego has an acting part (mind) and a maturing aspect (I am).

So coming back to judging, while my mind ruled by me emotions is judging another and reacting uncontrollably, my Ego is reflecting what all I could have done and be to balance the situation out and in practise not just in thoughts and words. Reflecting is a property of a body or surface to throw back whatever is coming its way without absorbing it. Soul being "whole" does not need to absorb anything, it has it all. So it throws at my mind what is required of me as a thinking-feeling being in a particular situation to balance out my existence, my karma.

All it takes is #connecting #to #self, to get to the reflection of the Soul, which it keeps sending to us all the while tirelessly.

And this connection for me, as I see it today on retrospect, was there from the childhood itself, I see the same in my daughter and for that matter in many of my daughter's friends as well. I said many because I had the opportunity to observe only those many closely. And as I grew up I kind of lost that "clear connection" only to come back to it when I was kind of jostled horrendously by certain experiences of mine. Those experiences were only to wake me up to my connection with my own Soul.

Also my connection which was clear as a child though not in awareness, had become muddy by the predominance of my emotional baggage. Once I started to clear out the emotional charge I had collected ever-so-happily is when the connection began to clear up as well.

The split between #mind and #body seems clearest in the realm of exercise. Each is good for us, but is one better?

Professor Sam Wang, Ph.D. Molecular Molecular Biology and #Neuroscience, Princeton University covers the subject extensively in Lecture 23 of his course The Neuroscience of Everyday Life which I am currently taking from The Great Courses.
