Here is the update. My true love man didn't call or visit. So, for those that didn't believe in my story this sounds like "I told you so", but I don't buy it. I know that my true love will happen, we can't escape our destiny.

Here is what I know about my true love man. I know that he has a famous brother (popular among women). They both appeared very beautiful in my vision. As the picture, about who my man really was, became clear, In my vision I could see my man laying down in the grass, I was sitting on the chair with his friend and they were teasing me about my believes (religion). It happens to me often.

In my vision my man appeared to be tall, with pretty face, long legs, thick eyebrow, full lips nicely shaped. I said to my angel "He is really beautiful" and she said to me "Yes he is", and then she said here is his brother. His brother was a few mitres away preparing himself for something. I couldn't figure out from this vision what was he preparing himself for. I was stunned with their beautify. They both looked alike, like they were twin brothers, although she said they are not twins at all.

I remember after this vision happen in 1999, I thought that my Kiwi guy had a brother and that he was probably playing rugby, because he was coming to Skycity Casino (Auckland, New Zealand) on those dates. My Angel said that I will search and finally find his brother first, in some of the online magazines and that I will look at his picture, and later on that I will find my man too. But that will be just before we meet.

My lady angel said that me and my man will be very good together, successful in about anything, our jobs and business. Then she showed me how we go for some social events, being dressed very nicely. I could see a lot of famous people around in those events, but me and my man, we were at the back of the fame, always in love, very happy.

As I can see through people and I know that many have a lot of sexual problems, I was worried that my man may have some of them, but she ensured me that is not the case with my true love man. She showed me the moment when he takes me in his arms first time, kissing me. He was really passionate about it. She said that he is going to want me a lot and that I will be enjoying his attention, especially first couple of years. Then she was showing me moments when he prove his love to me. In one instance we were in the hospital and I could see him praying for me, asking God to spear my life, saying that he really needed me.

She said that at the end I will think that my true love will not happen, that I will be very worried about everything, but she ensured me that MY TRUE LOVE will happen. She said that I will know when we are going to meet approximately a month before.

On this day:
At 1st August of 1986, Apple discontinues production of the Macintosh XL, effectively ending the life of the Apple Lisa computer platform. In January of 1985, the Macintosh line of computers was gaining momentum but the Lisa line of computers was not selling well. In order to salvage what they could from the Lisa and offer a more powerful Macintosh computer, Apple created the Macintosh XL model by modifying a Lisa 2/10 computer to run the Macintosh operating system. Apple discontinued the Lisa in April of 1985, but continued production of the hybrid Lisa/Mac Macintosh XL until this date.

In 1979, Apple had seen a need to complete the Apple II series. After a visit to the Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center) where he saw lots of new technologies (Ethernet network, GUI, OOP & Laser Printers), Steve Jobs (then chairman of Apple) decided to launch a graphical computer. After lots of work (and two rejected prototypes along the way), the Lisa was revealed in January 1983.

Lisa was the original code-name. Supposedly, the Lisa was named after Steve Jobs' eldest daughter, Lisa Nicole. The Lisa project cost over $50 million and was the result of more than 200 person-years of research and development. It was supposed to be the Next Big Thing. It was not however the first personal computer to use a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Several Xerox systems developped in Palo Alto, utilized the STAR operating system. STAR contained a very innovative icon-based interface as well as a built-in word processor and calculator.

Contrary to the "legend", Lisa was not the ancestor of the Macintosh. Lisa and Macintosh were two distinct projects. The original Lisa couldn't use Macintosh programs and Macintosh couldn't run Lisa software. The LISA OS (Office System) was a true preemptive multitasking operating system.

But, because of its very high price ($9,999.99 USD in 1983!) and because of competition with the Macintosh, the Lisa was one of Apple's biggest flops (alongside the Apple 3 and the Newton!). A new version of the Lisa was presented in January 1984, the Lisa 2. It had virtually same features but used a 3.5" 800 KB floppy drive instead of the old 5.25" "twiggy" floppy drives.

Three versions of the Lisa 2 were successively released:

Lisa 2 basic version which had rather less memory (512 KB instead of 1 MB) and storage capability than the first Lisa,
Lisa 2/5, the nearest to the Lisa 1 at approx. half the original price, was sold with a 5 MB 'Profile' hard disk unit,
- Lisa 2/10, which offered up to 10 MB of storage on an internal hard-disk.

All Lisa's were expandable systems thanks to three slots in the back, mainly used for RAM expansion cards. Up to 7 drives hooked up at once on the same interface.

In 1985, the Lisa lost its name and was renamed "Macintosh XL" (the Lisa 2 could become a Mac XL through the replacement of a ROM chip on the inside of the machine), its ROM and its display was modified to use the Macintosh Operating System and was presented as a development system for the Macintosh (Don't forget - in 1985 there was no hard disk available for the Macintosh). The Macintosh XL was sold until 1986 but became obsolete when the new "True" Macintoshes were launched (Macintosh II and Mac SE in 1987).

After Apple dropped the XL from their price list in September 1985, Sun Remarketing of Logan, Utah bought a number of Apple's remaining inventory and continued to sell them under license with their updated version of MacWorks Plus, re-branded as the Macintosh Professional. Though no new Lisas were available for sale, development continued on MacWorks Plus to support the installed base of Lisas, making them as relevant as their closely related cousin, the Macintosh Plus.

The Macintosh XL shares the same legacy as the Lisa before it. However, the increased sales from the emulation of the Macintosh operating system proved that the Macintosh family badly needed a more professional environment which could provide larger monitors, greater memory and more expandability than the Macintosh 512K offered.
