So it’s easy for tactical voting to go wrong. And to make it even harder, we don’t have great polling so deciding what data to base tactical advice on is really, really tricky.
You know what WILL work though? Getting out the vote. Get out there. Vote. Get your friends to vote.

EG If you have Remain 1 on 140, Remain 2 on 90, and Brexit 1 on 80, and 2 seats to allocate, the two Remain parties get 1 each.
But pile more votes onto R1, so they get 155, R2 get 75 and B1 gets 80… and guess what, we get 1 Remain seat, and 1 Brexit seat.

I’m really, really not sure about this. Tactical voting under the d’Hondt system used for EU elections is really tricky, because there will be cases when going for the second biggest Remain party will result in more seats than piling all the votes onto one party. 1/n twitter.com/remainutd/stat…

Not that I’ve ever been that good at listening and working at the same time, but it really has gotten a lot worse. I listened to the same album twice in a row yesterday and didn’t actually hear any of it. It was one of my faves, too, but I might as well have sat in silence.
