It’s true though! PCs are for doing things like spreadsheets and running tune-up utilities. Macs are for doing creative things like displaying the Apple logo at your local Starbucks.
This has been my experience too. I’m running Fleksy again right now, but expect the performance will degrade as it typically does. Hope to be proven wrong as I am really liking the dark/light mode for custom themes that they just introduced. Also would love things to be stable by the time Google releases their rumored iOS keyboard.
What amazes me is how many people use Waze. It seems like it would be a niche offering amidst big name players like Google, Apple, Garmin, Magellan, and Mapquest. But I’ve found even in the rural/suburban areas I frequent there are always other users nearby. On the highway when there is a backup the map is just covered in avatars!
I don’t think it’s really fair for you to be commenting on this without disclosing your personal interest in the DCEU, Harvey. It seems a bit… two-faced.
Thank you, fine Internet denizen! Your efforts to clean up the Internet are admirable. But we mustn’t dawdle, there are many more mistakes to be corrected!
A couple good places to start:
I thought I saw someone else with this problem saying they just had to reboot the device. I imagine you tried that though…
Fine, but if you’re going to deliver a product with a 5 year old screen, skimp on RAM, provide insufficient storage in your base model, recycle your designs for 4 years, AND fail to innovate, you’re going to have to drop your position as a ‘premium’ brand and adjust prices accordingly.
Apple doesn’t strike me as a company that settles for being viewed as a company that just produces good products. Walt’s point is that Apple will have to do more to prevent that from happening.
If anyone was brave enough to update their 3rd Gen iPad and can comment on performance, I’m all ears!
And Apple is notoriously adept at pushing technological leaps when it puts its weight behind it.
The real problem is Apple knows that pushing battery tech will not give them a strategic advantage. Even if it allows them to be the first to offer a phone with the new battery, everyone will have access to it within a year.
I think what Walt might be getting at is the Galaxy S7’s hardware is incrementally better across the board. Apple can’t hang it’s hat on a single hardware aspect at this point. In order for Apple to assert itself as the leader, there has to be some leap that clearly sets it apart.
I’ll start. I want the Galaxy S7 running iOS 10.
Egads! Is this true? Such invigorating and revelatory news! You are a fount of insight, my dear friend! Verily, I say to you, do another one, posthaste!
BOOOOOOOOO!
Apple never says. Usually RAM is confirmed in a tear down or when it’s released with benchmark tools.
I actually think they’ll have to go with 2GB though. I can’t imagine them processing 4k video on device with 1GB of RAM.
Then somebody should probably be fired.
This is a great idea! You can follow me @BillGates
90 degree turn ahead?

Punch it, brother!
I’m guessing probably in the next 10 minutes or so…
Angus burger – $9.99
Bacon burger – $6.99
Butter burger – $6.99
Cheeseburger – $3.99
Slider – 3 for $5.99
I syrup you did there
Sounds like you wanted stock Android but were tempted by the sexy hardware. That happened to me with the S6 Edge. No matter how close I got the thing to stock using custom launchers and using Google’s default apps, Samsung’s fingerprints were still scattered throughout the software experience. In the end I returned it. It’s not a bad device, but I eventually came to terms with the fact that it wasn’t what I wanted and I couldn’t ever make it be.
With the iPhone SE, we’ve removed the headphone jack to make space for this incredible new way to carry your phone. We think you’ll love it.
