Friendly reminder that this hell site is owned by Yahoo, a company who are now actively advocating for the death of Net Neutrality.

Friendly fucking reminder that the site is actively forcing users to unfollow the net neutrality tag after 20 or so minutes of following it.

Friendly reminder that this site is now actively trying to limit our ability to share information and spread awareness.

Tumblr doesn’t care about Net Neutrality anymore.

Let’s take a look at some screenshots of an article I was reading earlier today…

Keyword: was. They don’t support net neutrality anymore. Why you ask? well…

Tumblr is owned by Yahoo. Now that Verizon (a company that hates net neutrality) bought Yahoo, they have demanded that Tumblr must stop supporting net neutrality too. The Tumblr staff has stopped posting about net neutrality.

Tumblr belongs to Verizon now and wants to exploit Black Lives Matter to make more money for Yahoo

Verizon has completed its acquisition of Tumblr parent company Yahoo, and is preventing the Tumblr company from participating in the day to save Net Neutrality next month on July 12, 2017.

“In addition to the real life talented human beings impacted by these layoffs, the move is a warning and reminder — Tumblr is no longer in the protective purgatory of pre-Verizon Yahoo.” If Mayer’s Yahoo didn’t really know what it was doing with Tumblr, that meant Tumblr was free to do what it wanted. That extended to politics: Yahoo didn’t give Tumblr any official blessing or encouragement when it decided to become the tech industry’s fiercest net neutrality defender three years ago. Now things are a little bit stickier.

Two former Tumblr employees said they were alarmed when Khalaf chose Black Lives Matter as an example of a community that the company should focus on converting into Yahoo media consumers. One told The Verge, “Simon explicitly said that Black Lives Matter was an opportunity to [make] a ton of money.” The same person also recalled: “Tumblr employees totally freaked, but couldn’t really be vocal about it because we were in [New York City] watching over video cast.” The other said that the meeting was “extremely uncomfortable” and “a lot of people were really upset,” leading to a heated conversation in Tumblr’s Slack, which is separate from Yahoo’s.

I just feel like, with all these things being associated with each other.. 🤔 they bout to lose another $1 billion after killing tumblr lmao.

And what the hell even was go90? The fact that literally no one talked about that, and yet they dropped $1 billion, shows how severely detached they are. AND AOL. Just.. Who would buy AOL in 2015?? For $4.4 billion?? Y'all are on some shit. I’m flabbergasted.

Hey here’s a test which is more believable

A) Tumblr got infiltrated by Russian agents to sow discord and to cost Hillary the election by posting about pro-BLM, anti police brutality, and critiques about Clinton herself on a website that isn’t even that popular or used compared to other sites

Or

B) the deletion of these pro-BLM, anti police brutality, etc etc blogs is just another example of America’s long running history of silencing dissenters, but this time its on a website known for its positive stance on social justice issues from it’s userbase, but is owned by Yahoo, a lobbyist in the us govt
