Bernie Sanders says Trump didn't win the election, Democrats lost it. [2:27] by Chartis in SandersForPresident

On every major point facing this country, the American people do not believe in a right-wing agenda, they believe in a progressive agenda. We gotta take that agenda to the people.

We need candidates in every race who expound that agenda, and if there are none, we need to be the candidates in every race who expound that agenda.

What will you guys do if Hillary Clinton runs again in 2020 with her Onward Together PAC and rigs the primaries in her favor and gets the nomination again? by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

We've got a long way to go before we even need to worry about 2020. Let's focus on any number of elections happening today.

Sherrod Brown: What can Brown do for you? by The_Popular_Populist in SandersForPresident

Full disclosure: I wasn't there shouting; that was just reported to me by those who were.

And yeah, it's look-past-able, but I'd talk it over with him if I had the chance.

The legislation he supported had good intentions, but it would have removed a constitutional right (bearing arms) from citizens while providing them no legal recourse to change that, since you can't really control whether you go on the No Fly List or not.

Obviously, terrorists shouldn't be getting weapons, but there has to be some amount of due process, and it shouldn't be a look-before-you-leap like almost everything these days.

That said, it's a minor quibble and I think the bill died in committee like everything else.

It was enough to get him shouted away from one of the immigration protests though.

As an Ohioan, he's good.

As a progressive, eh, he's okay. We have stuff to sort out re: the no fly list and limiting some overreach into the private lives of citizens.

But, uh, provided that it's Brown or Husted next year, that's an easy choice.

Of course, Joe DeMare could run again, I suppose.

p.s. run nina run

Senators Skindell And Tavares Introduce Single-Payer Health Care For All Ohioans by writingtoss in PoliticalRevolutionOH

Do I think it'll make it through? Nah, probably not even if Kasich stumps for it to draw opposition to Trump.

Am I glad Skindell and Tavares are introducing it to the state discourse? Hell yeah.

I'm going to have to remove this comment (and maybe a couple nearby) for being too hostile. I can put it back if you edit it though. Remember: attack arguments, not people.

Message us at this link right here when that's done or if you have a question about it. I won't be able to keep tabs on this thread. Thanks!

it's a well-taken point, but we still need to keep that as the normalized avenue of discourse.
