Trump's 'Unreported Terror Attack' List Contains More Typos Than Unreported Terror Attacks by longroad91gb in politics

I don't think he would just let it happen, he'd rather prevent it and take full credit and make a big deal of saving everyone.

Maybe some of the others who he works with would let it happen.

But we've got 4 fucking years to wait. Whether or not they want to make it happen themselves, it's bound to happen. And the minute it happens, he and his circle will jump on it to fuck things up as much as they can.

Yes. Only random idiots who have no knowledge of anything should be allowed to comment on politics. The more knowledge you have, the less you should be allowed to comment on politics. Otherwise our country could turn into shit.

Trump's New FCC Chair Is Screwing Everything Up as Fast as He Can by my_brotherskeeper in technology

Technically, abandoning net neutrality would allow them to make web browsing and online gaming a lot better. They could prioritize (usually small) packets that require a low latency over packets that are for other things like movies or data transfers. The data transfers would still go just as fast, plus some insignificant amount of time to adjust for a higher latency.

They will probably not do this though, because there's no competition among the ISPs to drive this kind of innovation.

Controversial idea: Ban games that requires payment, whether pay to play or microtransaction-gated progress by dSolver in incremental_games

I never said that we'd be done in a few months, I'm pretty sure I said "longer than a few months and less than a few years" or something!

Not yet, we can only really know the release date a couple weeks before it's actually ready to go. But if you sign up at http://clickerheroes2.com/ we'll send you an email when it's launched.

This is why we decided we're going to charge up-front for Clicker Heroes 2.

I want to make a good game, and making it free makes that harder to do. I hope /r/incremental_games will let us post about our launch even though we're charging for it, and not consider it "spam".

Which do you think is better for incremental games--Apple or Android? by CatholicGuy77 in incremental_games

I personally like the web-based incremental games the best. They don't feel like scummy money-making machines and have a lot of innovative mechanics that mobile games only try to copy.

But most of what he revealed was related to foreign spying and had no constitutional issues.

No, you've been misinformed. They consistently try to make it sound like it's only foreign stuff, but they record all the private data they can, including domestic data, and then they get warrants to collect (using a clever redefinition of the word "collect") information from these databases if you're foreign.

The issue Snowden revealed to us was that all of our domestic data that they could get their hands on now sits in a massive NSA database. Who knows what terrible things will happen to it, or how it will be used?

Researchers have identified a unique “breathprint” for 17 different diseases, such as kidney cancer or Parkinson’s disease, and have designed a device that screens breath samples with 86% accuracy using an array of nanoscale sensors and analyzing the results with artificial intelligence techniques. by mvea in science

[–]Fragsworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't it be used in conjunction with other independent screening tests (i.e. blood / urine samples) to increase the accuracy of the combination of tests?

I mean if you imagine a world where you could perform 100 unique tests that have 86% accuracy, you'd get close to 100% accuracy by performing them all.

Doesn't matter which of the base money. It all nets to zero.

What does that even mean?

[–]Fragsworth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When it comes to money, it is zero sum game. Living standard comparison is like apples to animals comparison.

No, it's not zero sum. It's a lot more complicated than that. Depending on how you want to define money, it generally goes up: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/58/MB,_M1_and_M2_aggregates_from_1981_to_2012.png

And you can usually relate it to "Living standards" by looking at inflation. Also, money supply is not only thing that impacts inflation, there are lots of (also not zero-sum) factors.

Right, large predators generally try to avoid eating the contents of the gut.

If you bothered to read the article before commenting on how inaccurate it must be, you would know they were talking about small animals that are eaten whole, like birds and rodents.
