Post Office Mobile

In June 2015 Post Office started offering a “Pay As You Go” mobile service online and in 263 of its 11,600 branches.  In May 2016 it was decided to conclude the trial as the results did not give us sufficient confidence that mobile would contribute to our goal of commercial sustainability. The money needed to invest further in the mobile service could not be justified at a time that Post Office was investing in modernising its branches.

Unfortunately your SIM has now been terminated and we therefore cannot generate a PAC to enable you to transfer your number.

If you have not transferred your number to a new provider by the 8th of August then your SIM will be terminated. If someone calls a terminated SIM they will hear a message stating they have dialled an incorrect number.

If you successfully used a Post Office Mobile SIM in your handset, then the handset is already unlocked and free to accept another mobile providers SIM card.

If you ported out prior to the 8th August you should have received a letter in the Post within a week of your porting date.  If you have not received this please contact us.

If your SIM was still active on the 8th of August and we terminated it then you should receive a refund by the 12th August.

If you applied after the 8th August then you should have received your refund letter within 5 working days.

The deadline for refund requests has passed and no further refunds will be issued.
