Teen Leadership Program
Details and Registration
Over the series, the group will explore the flow of resources in our food system, learn from local food movement leaders, and get hands-on experience growing and distributing organic produce! Participants will walk away with a new understanding of what goes into the food we consume and its impact on our bodies, communities, and the planet.
The 6 day series will be held outside at Ekar Farm from 9am-12:30pm. Participants should expect hot weather and bring a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen as well as their lunch to the farm everyday. Snacks will be provided.
All participants must bring their own masks, be prepared to wear them, and practice social distancing. Teens must be prepared for daily health screening (questions about COVID-19 symptoms/exposure and a temperature check). Further COVID safety guidelines will be sent after registration. For safety reasons, cohort size is limited to 10 participants.
The course is designed to cover a depth and breadth of concepts that build on each other over the 6 days. Registrants must commit to attending all 6 sessions!
