Short Answer - Tell us about yourself:
We use this information to help us form a diverse, pluralistic community and ensure that our programming reflects the experience and interest range of the participants. No applicant will be judged solely on the basis of a single application question! Although no formal experience in Judaism or Shmita is necessary, it is helpful for us to know where you are coming from.* *To make sure everyone has a shared framework of understanding, we may offer an intro course to anti-racism/anti-oppression work if needed.
Describe your motivation for applying to this cohort, and how it aligns with your long/short term goals. What do you hope to get out of the program?
(this can include, but is not limited to, work/training in: non-violent direct action, anti-racism, anti-oppression, systems theory, community organizing, national and/or local-community based justice work) If you currently have projects, partnerships or topics of interest relating to economic, environmental, immigration, and/or food justice that you'd like to offer for incorporation into our program, or that particularly interest you, please describe them here.
Interest
This application is for Part 1: An Intro to Shmita, starting in February 2021. The entire 3 part program will run from February 2021 until September 2022. While we are not asking for an upfront commitment to all 3 sessions, we will be prioritizing applicants who express willingness and interest in participating in the full program. All participants in Part 1 are guaranteed spots in the subsequent sessions

FEES

The fee for Part 1 (to be paid with registration once applications are processed) is sliding scale $18-36 per month which comes out to $108-216 for the whole session. We prefer that payment for the entire session be made with registration. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.

Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions regarding payment or any other aspects of the program/application.
