BIRD Foundation invests $3.85 million in critical infrastructure cyber projects via new program
The BIRD Cyber Program is a joint initiative to enhance the cyber resilience of vulnerable critical infrastructure in both the U.S. and Israel
… The projects were selected through a review and award process conducted by DHS S&T, INCD, and the Board of Governors of the BIRD Foundation. As well as the BIRD grants, the projects will leverage private-sector funding and are understood to boost the total value of the projects to approximately $10 million.

BIRD Foundation Grant Intended to Promote R&D of Mutual Benefit to the U.S. and Israel
July 25, 2023—Today, Oshi (formerly Plantish) and The Better Meat Co. announce that the two alt-protein startups have jointly been awarded a $1 million USD grant from the BIRD Foundation. Such Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) grants are part of an Israeli and U.S. government joint program intended to foster collaboration between Israeli and American companies by advancing industrial R&D of mutual benefit to both nations.

Civan’s New Laser Technology Enables the Welding of Thick Parts
Civan collaborates with AMET Inc. to develop a turnkey laser welding system for thick metals
Based in Rexburg, ID, AMET designs and manufactures automated welding systems. The project began in March 2022, and the companies will deliver the first system in February 2023.The system will be produced in AMET’s Idaho factory. In parallel to building the machine, Civan is developing welding processes at its application lab in Jerusalem.
