AJEX JMA is here to ensure that the immense contribution of veterans from the Jewish Community who served in HM Armed Forces is never forgotten.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will help us deliver our vital work of Education, Remembrance, Combatting Antisemitism and supporting the Welfare needs of our British Jewish veteran and serving community.
Since the Great War, we have been supporting ex-serving Jewish personnel and their families who have found themselves in difficulty. From providing specialist advice and guidance to financial aid, we are there to support the wellbeing of those members of our community and their families who need help.
The contribution of British Jews to the freedom and security of the United Kingdom has been outstanding but, like that of all minorities, it could quickly be forgotten. Our Annual Remembrance Parade & Ceremony at The Cenotaph has been a key event in the communal calendar since the 1930s.
A key role for AJEX is to educate and hand on the baton of remembrance to future generations. From engagement workshops for schools and youth groups, to interviews with our veterans and our range of adult education themed lectures, we use the stories of Jewish veterans to explore ideas of remembrance, history, Jewish identity and British values.
Through our education and remembrance work we are fighting anti-Semitism in the UK by showing our patriotism and outstanding contribution to the society around us. With the recent rise in anti-Semitism, this work has never been more crucial.
The Jewish Record of Honour is an incredible opportunity to preserve the name of all those Jewish men and women that have served with the British Armed Forces and made the community proud.
The Jewish Military Museum is a special collection of artefacts and testimonies about the Jewish experience, contribution and participation in HM Armed Forces. This collection has an important role in safeguarding knowledge of the immense role the Jewish community had in safeguarding our freedoms from tyranny.
