Enjoy yet another compilation of the Roller Coasting Trains raising like huge Snakes over the super monster gradients , something which is not commonly found across all parts of the Indian Railways.
These gradients are largely found in the Deccan plateau where the terrain is extremely rough and uneven. The South Western Railway Zone of Indian Railways stands top when it comes to these Monster Gradients how ever the average speed of Trains in the Zone takes a major dip due to the unavailability of flat straight lines.
The freight trains especially require High Horse Powered Locomotives to work efficiently in these terrains, most of the freight trains here are operated by EMD's either Single or Double depending on the load they need to carry for sufficient braking and to avoid Wheel slips, never the less ALCo's still do wonders.

Catch a very interesting departure of trains moving in and out of AKOLA Railway Station. BSL WAM-4 hauled Maharashtra Express running late by 30 mins and on the time running Indore - Yesvantpur Express were given starters at the same time , hence both the trains started to depart parallel next to next. I just loved the way the WAM-4 picked up . Check out the Track alignment between the 2 Zones CR /Central Railways and SCR / South Central Railways that meet at Akola. Once we are done with the parallel run we get to see a Vertical crossing from below where a Petroleum Tanker train passes in opposite to the direction of Maharashtra Express , a well timed encounter.
Kacheguda ( Hyderabad ) - Akola line belongs to SCR Zone which is a non electrified Single line .

Enjoy watching a complete Diesel (ALCO's and EMD's) platter of Trains and Freights on the Bangalore - Dharmavaram -Single Line Section. One Train has to make way for another train to cross in the opposite directions on a Single line Section thus consuming a lot of time looping in and looping out from the loop lines .From a Railfan perspective its always fun to travel on a Single line section as one can witness numerous Crossing and specially if travelling on a low priority Passenger train that halts at almost every station, that train becomes a victim of getting trolled by almost all the Superfast Express trains.
This video is shot at Oddarahalli Station and neighboring spots , spent capturing a lot of action on just a single track. Its also a huge responsibility for the Railway staff to ensure the Line is in top condition as trains sprint back and forth all day long and there is no alternative in case of any problem with the rails.The lines are thoroughly checked round the clock by the line men.

Indian Railways
Indian Railways (reporting mark IR) is an Indian state-owned enterprise, owned and operated by the Government of India through the Ministry of Railways. It is one of the world's largest railway networks comprising 115,000 km (71,000 mi) of track over a route of 65,808 km (40,891 mi) and 7,112 stations. In 2014-15, IR carried 8.397 billion passengers annually or more than 23 million passengers a day (roughly half of whom were suburban passengers) and 1058.81 million tons of freight in the year. In 2014–2015 Indian Railways had revenues of ₹1634.50 billion (US$24 billion) which consists of ₹1069.27 billion (US$16 billion) from freight and ₹402.80 billion (US$5.9 billion) from passengers tickets.
Railways were first introduced to India in the year 1853 from Mumbai to Thane. In 1951 the systems were nationalised as one unit, the Indian Railways, becoming one of the largest networks in the world. IR operates both long distance and suburban rail systems on a multi-gauge network of broad, metre and narrow gauges. It also owns locomotive and coach production facilities at several places in India and are assigned codes identifying their gauge, kind of power and type of operation. Its operations cover twenty nine states and seven union territories and also provides limited international services to Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

I just loved the way the WAM-4 picked up . Check out the Track alignment between the 2 Zones CR /Central Railways and SCR / South Central Railways that meet at Akola. Once we are done with the parallel run we get to see a Vertical crossing from below where a Petroleum Tanker train passes in opposite to the direction of Maharashtra Express , a well timed encounter.
Kacheguda ( Hyderabad ) - Akola line belongs to SCR Zone which is a non electrified Single line .

Enjoy watching a complete Diesel (ALCO's and EMD's) platter of Trains and Freights on the Bangalore - Dharmavaram -Single Line Section. One Train has to make way for another train to cross in the opposite directions on a Single line Section thus consuming a lot of time looping in and looping out from the loop lines .From a Railfan perspective its always fun to travel on a Single line section as one can witness numerous Crossing and specially if travelling on a low priority Passenger train that halts at almost every station, that train becomes a victim of getting trolled by almost all the Superfast Express trains.
This video is shot at Oddarahalli Station and neighboring spots , spent capturing a lot of action on just a single track. Its also a huge responsibility for the Railway staff to ensure the Line is in top condition as trains sprint back and forth all day long and there is no alternative in case of any problem with the rails.The lines are thoroughly checked round the clock by the line men.
