The extraordinary footage taken in a 9 News studio shows newsreader Amber Sherlock having an epic meltdown after realising she, a fellow journalist and her guest were all wearing white.
She descended into rage after spotting 9 News presenter Julie Snook and psychologist Sandy Rea sporting similar dresses to her moments before going live on Wednesday.
Directing her anger at her colleague, Ms Sherlock demanded Ms Snook put on a different coloured jacket, creating an extremely awkward situation for their guest.

Speaking to her producer, the presenter said: 'I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.'
Ms Snook defended herself, insisting she had not had time to change out of her outfit.
But Ms Sherlock refused to back down, replying: 'Come on I told you two hours ago.'
Her fellow 9 News reporter apologised and said she had been 'flat out' and had not had time to switch into a different colour.
But a furious Ms Sherlock had no time for her apology and continued to demand she get changed before going live.
Psychologist Ms Rea, who by this point looked very uncomfortable, offered to find a jacket herself, as she was wearing white too.
But Ms Sherlock told her to calm down and pointedly remarked that she was fine as she had made sure to mention in advance that she would be wearing white.
'There can't be three of us,' the newscaster flatly said.
'If it's an issue I can get on out of here,' Ms Snook said.
'It is an issue. Go and grab a jacket,' Ms Sherlock coldly replied, adding: 'I wasn't saying it for no reason. The wardrobe girls will be furious.'
Ms Snook tried to claim her dress was actually blue, but she then agreed to put on a black jacket that was lying around in the newsroom.
'If there’s an issue I can just head on out and get back to work. I’m flat chat. I genuinely forgot,' the reporter said as she left her chair to find other clothes.
But Ms Sherlock was not finished.
'Fine, jump on out if that’s what you’d like to do. Come on, wearing a jacket. I asked you two-and-a-half hours ago. It’s not the hardest request.
'I know it’s not your issue. But we did talk about it two-and-a-half hours ago.'
Despite their incredibly diva-esque row, the pair were all-smiles when they went on air, with Ms Sherlock grinning as she introduced her colleague - who was wearing the black jacket.
It is not clear who leaked the footage, which was published by Mumbrella.
The two 9 News journalists have since released a statement, with Ms Sherlock admitting she 'probably overreacted'.
'Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast, at times. And as anyone knows, it’s never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends,' she said.
'I probably overreacted with the pressure of presenting a live news bulletin.
'Thank goodness we had psychologist Sandy Rae around afterwards!!'
Ms Snook added: 'What can I say? Amber and I just really love white!
'Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her.
'News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things happen.'

THE Nine Network has reportedly found the person who downloaded the explosive footage of Amber Sherlock berating her colleague Julie Snook about her clothing, but is still searching for the person who forwarded the video to the media.
Channel 9 is investigating the incident which saw an off-air spat between the women on Wednesday afternoon’s Nine News Now arguing over both wearing white tops.
A source inside the station has revealed to The Daily Telegraph Nine was quick to launch an investigation to find the person at the centre of the leaking of the damaging video.

This is the extraordinary moment an Australian newsreader flew into a rage because the reporter and guest are both wearing the same colour she is.
The awkward footage was taken in a 9 News studio as newsreader Amber Sherlock realised all three of them were wearing white moments before going live.
She ordered her colleague Julie Snook to put on a jacket as she grew angry about their matching outfits.
The presenter said: “I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.”
But Ms Snook defended herself, claiming she had been too busy to change outfits.
“Come on I told you two hours ago,” responded Ms Sherlock, who continued to insist she find a change of outfit.
Their guest, psychologist Sandy Rea, can be seen growing awkward as she tentatively offered to put a jacket on herself.
But Ms Sherlock told her not to worry as she had mentioned in advance she would be wearing white.

Nine Network
The Nine Network (commonly known as Channel Nine or simply Nine) is an Australian commercial free-to-air television network, that is a division of Nine Entertainment Co. with headquarters based in Willoughby, a suburb located on the North Shore of Sydney, Australia. The Nine Network is one of five main free-to-air commercial networks in Australia.
The Nine Network is one of the two highest-rating television networks in Australia, along with the Seven Network and ahead of Network Ten, ABC, and SBS. Nine had historically been the highest-rating television network since television's inception in Australia in 1956 for most years up to 2006, although Network Ten had dominated in 1985 and for a number of years in the 1970s. Amber Sherlock
Amber Sherlock (née Higlett) is an Australian journalist and television news presenter. She currently presents the weather on Nine News Sydney and Monday presenter of Nine News Now.
Career
Sherlock began her career at the Seven Network in Sydney and worked for the financial news service at the Commonwealth Bank before joining Network Ten for the Sydney Olympics. She then moved into finance journalism, taking a position in London for several years. She came back to Canberra as a host for a Network Ten current affairs program. Upon her return to Sydney, Sherlock went to work for Commonwealth Securities as a financial journalist, after which she took a position as a newsreader with Sky News Australia.
Sherlock joined the Nine Network in 2007 to present the business segments for the Today, Nine Morning News Hour and Nine Afternoon News. She was the news presenter on Weekend Today and Monday news presenter on Today. Sherlock later presented the morning edition of the Qantas Inflight News. In January 2009, it was announced that Sherlock would be the news presenter for Weekend Today, alongside co-hosts Cameron Williams and Leila McKinnon. In July 2009, Sherlock was appointed Monday news presenter for Today, as Georgie Gardner presents Nine News Sydney on Friday and Saturday.

Amber
Amber is fossilized tree resin (not sap), which has been appreciated for its color and natural beauty since Neolithic times. Much valued from antiquity to the present as a gemstone, amber is made into a variety of decorative objects. Amber is used as an ingredient in perfumes, as a healing agent in folk medicine, and as jewelry.
There are five classes of amber, defined on the basis of their chemical constituents. Because it originates as a soft, sticky tree resin, amber sometimes contains animal and plant material as inclusions. Amber occurring in coal seams is also called resinite, and the term ambrite is applied to that found specifically within New Zealand coal seams.
History and names
The English word amber derives from Arabic ʿanbar عنبر , Middle Latin ambar and Middle French ambre. The word was adopted in Middle English in the 14th century as referring to what is now known as ambergris (ambre gris or "grey amber"), a solid waxy substance derived from the sperm whale. In the Romance languages, the sense of the word had come to be extended to Baltic amber (fossil resin) from as early as the late 13th century. At first called white or yellow amber (ambre jaune), this meaning was adopted in English by the early 15th century. As the use of ambergris waned, this became the main sense of the word.

The awkward footage was taken in a 9 News studio as newsreader Amber Sherlock realised all three of them were wearing white moments before going live. She ordered her colleague Julie Snook to put on a jacket as she grew angry about their matching outfits. The presenter said: “I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.” But Ms Snook defended herself, claiming she had been too busy to change outfits. “Come on I told you two hours ago,” responded Ms Sherlock, who continued to insist she find a change of outfit. Their guest, psychologist Sandy Rea, can be seen growing awkward as she tentatively offered to put a jacket on herself. But Ms Sherlock told her not to worry as she had mentioned in advance she would be wearing white. She added: “There can't be three of us. THE Nine Network has reportedly found the person who downloaded the explosive footage of Amber Sherlock berating her colleague Julie Snook about her clothing, but is still searching for the person who forwarded the video to the media. Channel 9 is investigating the incident which saw an off-air spat between the women on Wednesday afternoon’s Nine News Now arguing over both wearing white tops. 'Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast, at times. And as anyone knows, it’s never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends,' she said.
'I probably overreacted with the pressure of presenting a live news bulletin.
'Thank goodness we had psychologist Sandy Rae around afterwards!!'
Ms Snook added: 'What can I say? Amber and I just really love white!
'Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her.
'News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things happen.'

THE Nine Network has reportedly found the person who downloaded the explosive footage of Amber Sherlock berating her colleague Julie Snook about her clothing, but is still searching for the person who forwarded the video to the media.
Channel 9 is investigating the incident which saw an off-air spat between the women on Wednesday afternoon’s Nine News Now arguing over both wearing white tops.
A source inside the station has revealed to The Daily Telegraph Nine was quick to launch an investigation to find the person at the centre of the leaking of the damaging video.

This is the extraordinary moment an Australian newsreader flew into a rage because the reporter and guest are both wearing the same colour she is.
The awkward footage was taken in a 9 News studio as newsreader Amber Sherlock realised all three of them were wearing white moments before going live.
She ordered her colleague Julie Snook to put on a jacket as she grew angry about their matching outfits.
The presenter said: “I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.”
But Ms Snook defended herself, claiming she had been too busy to change outfits.
“Come on I told you two hours ago,” responded Ms Sherlock, who continued to insist she find a change of outfit.
Their guest, psychologist Sandy Rea, can be seen growing awkward as she tentatively offered to put a jacket on herself.
But Ms Sherlock told her not to worry as she had mentioned in advance she would be wearing white.
She added: “There can't be three of us.

“If it's an issue I can get on out of here,” replied Ms Snook.
“It is an issue. Go and grab a jacket," Ms Sherlock snapped. “I wasn't saying it for no reason. The wardrobe girls will be furious.

The heated back-and-forth continued until Ms Snook was given a black jacket, with all three then assuming gleaming smiles as they went on air.

She descended into rage after spotting 9 News presenter Julie Snook and psychologist Sandy Rea sporting similar dresses to her moments before going live.
Directing her anger at her colleague, Ms Sherlock demanded Ms Snook put on a different coloured jacket, creating an extremely awkward situation for their guest.
Speaking to her producer, the presenter said: 'I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.'

Her fellow 9 News reporter apologised and said she had been 'flat out' and had not had time to switch into a different colour.

Psychologist Ms Rea, who was by this point looked very uncomfortable, offered to find a jacket herself, as she was wearing white.
But Ms Sherlock told her to calm down and pointedly remarked that she was fine as she had made sure to mention in advance that she would be wearing white.
