Valentina is a romantic and nostalgic little girl.   I’ve also done some slightly different thread sculpting on this little lady to create that pleading little face.  This little angel is made from a fuzzy longer pile fabric in a warm beige tone.  Her fur has longer shiny guard hairs that give her such life and spark. 

Valentina measures in at just about 4 and 3/4  inches standing.   She has bent arms and straight legs with wire armature, so she can hold soft poses with her arms and legs.  

This little one has pretty pearlescent emerald green eyes.  When the light hits them just right you can see little flashes of gold as well.  She has an undereye white accent and a sewn in upper eyelid.  She has subtle shading near her mouth and eyes as well as above her cute little nose. Her face has been deeply sculpted using invisible internal stitches.  Valentina’s nose is stitched in pale chocolate brown silk floss and has been sealed for durability and a soft shine.  Her front and rear paws have pads made of ultra suede, and they have tiny little pulled and shaded toes.  

Valentina is delicately decorated with gorgeous miniature silk ribbon work embroidery.  Tiny sprays of roses in gorgeous scarlet accent her little head.  The skirt is made of layers of silk organza that I’ve embroidered with the rose sprays as well.

As always, I’ve paid very close attention to making sure that my miniatures have all the detail and intricacy of a much larger bear.  I am also a stickler for proportion.  I really like for them to pass for large bears until you see a  picture of one in my hand.

 I’ve pictured Syrah and Merlot together in these several first shots simply because they look TOO cute together… but they are available individually. I really enjoy playing with variations of my patterns, to create these little duos.  These two cuties are both made from lovely burgundy and beige long pile upholstery velvet.  These two were obviously inspired by this gorgeously rich burgundy fur… the color of red wine!  This fur has tiny little guard hairs that make these little ones look so sweetly real. 

Please meet Merlot (panda style – all beige head) and Syrah (burgundy head with beige gusset). Each is described separately below.

Merlot has front and rear paw pads made of ultra suede fabric with and tiny little pulled and shaded toes both front and rear.  He sports a cute little ruff made from bias cut oil ribbon in shades of burgundy and bright green.

Syrah is made from the same fabrics as her brother.  Lacy measures in at just about 4 and 3/4 inches standing.  She has bent arms and straight legs with wire armature, so she can hold soft poses with her arms and legs.

Syrah’s eyes are a lovely shade of emerald with reflective particles that catch and play with the light.  She has an undereye white accent and a sewn in upper eyelid.  She sports subtle shading near her mouth and eyes.  Her face has been deeply sculpted using invisible internal stitches.   Nose is stitched in a deeper shade of burgundy silk floss and has been sealed for durability and a soft sheen.  She has both front and rear paw pads with tiny little pulled toes.

Penelope is just the softest little wisp of a panda.  A pale and tender variation of my fantasy panda pattern.  I’ve also done some slightly different thread sculpting on this little lady to create that pleading little face.  This two toned little girl is made from a pale silver long pile fabric that has just a hint of blue in it along with a very pale beige that has just a hint of a fleshy undertone.   

Penelope measures in at just about 4 and 3/4  inches standing.   She has bent arms and straight legs with wire armature, so she can hold soft poses with her arms and legs.  Her feet have internal magnets that allow her to stand fairly securely on any metal surface… or upon her sweet little tuffet.  The tuffet also contains a magnet in it’s center. 

This little one has pretty pearlescent gray eyes.   She has an undereye white accent and a sewn in upper eyelid.  She has subtle shading near her mouth and eyes as well as above her cute little nose. Her face has been deeply sculpted using invisible internal stitches.  Penelope’s nose is stitched in pale pink silk floss and has been sealed for durability and a soft shine.  Her front and rear paws have pads made of wool felt, and they have tiny little pulled and shaded toes.  

Penelope sports a sweet little Peter Pan collar made of white micro velvet.  I’ve edged it in my own picot trim crocheted in silk sewing thread.   The center is accented with a tiny pink silk bow to match her little nose!  Her collar is not designed to be removable.

I needs to make a tuffet that complimented Penelope’s sweet and delicate nature.  I selected a cotton fabric in pale blue-gray.  The lace motif I crocheted is ever so delicate and made of silk sewing thread.  Additional crocheted trim with pale pink silk ribbon accent the base.  I’ve also studded the base with a few silver toned pins.  You may use the tuffet to display Penelope, but it may also be used as a very fancy pincushion, or as a holder for you own favorite broach or pins.  A tiny milky iridescent glass bead accents the center

I really enjoy playing with variations of my patterns, to create these little complimentary teddy duos.  These two cuties are both made from modern long pile fabrics in a pretty pale copper along with a nice neutral tan.  This fabric has longer guard hairs and a lovely sheen.  They will each bring with them their little box stands.  Their feet contain tiny strong magnets that allow them to stand on their boxes.  The boxes are hollow and I’ve placed small magnets within.  Extra magnets will be provided to you.

Paige is just the sweetest little girl. I made a bear just a few months ago using the same fabrics (Paxton), but Paige is made using a variation of my fantasy panda pattern.  I’ve also done some slightly different thread sculpting on this little lady to create that pleading little face.  This two toned little girl is made from one of my favorite fabrics.  Her darker areas are a lovely cadet blue, and her lighter areas are a silvery pale gray.  Both fabrics are  long pile fabrics with little longer guard hairs.  She has that lovely sheen that  just lends so much personality and “spark” to a little cub!

Paige sports a sweet little neck ruff made of yards of sin ribbon in cream, pale silver, and blue.  I’ve accented most of the loops with sparkling Swarovski crystals that catch and play with the light.   Her collar is not designed to be removable.

 Now complete and looking for a very special place to make her new home; I am pleased to introduce you to Beatrix!  She was created from medium pile miniature bear fabric in deep onyx black and the palest shade of creamy yellow.  Her paw pads are made of short pile velvet in pale cream-yellow.  This tiny girl has strong magnets in her feet… and along with the magnets concealed in her tuffet… she can easily stand right up on it with no worry of falling over. 

Beatrix is just under 5 inches when standing.  She has bent arms and straight legs with wire armature, so she can hold soft poses with her arms and legs.

She has hand painted pearlized golden-green eyes with an undereye white accent and a sewn in upper eyelid.  She has subtle shading near her mouth and eyes as well as above her cute little nose.  Her face has been deeply sculpted using invisible internal stitches.  Her nose is stitched in black silk floss and has been sealed for durability and a soft shine.  I wanted Bea to coordinate nicely with her cushion, so I’ve made her a sweet little tatted cotton ruff.    A tiny silk ribbon in beautiful variegated pink tones accents the front along with tiny streamers and green glass seed beads.  Her collar is not designed to be removed.  Bea also has little antennae. 

 Her front and rear paws have pads made of ultra suede , and they have tiny little pulled and shaded toes.  She’s been stuffed with poly fil.

See!  I’m quite little!

Beatrix’s little tuffet is made from various is made from various silk and cotton fabrics.  I’ve crazy quilted the fabrics together and then embellished them with various seam treatments, trims, embroidery and silk ribbon embroidery.  There are tiny little deep pink rosebuds, daisies, and a sweet little crocheted motif accented with French Knots.  My favorites are the itty bitty bees… stitched in cotton floss with a Brazilian embroidery technique.   Each time you turn the cushion you will discover some tiny new thing!  

To be quite honest, this pin cushion took as long to complete as little Beatrix herself.   Truly a labor of love, I think she looks quite fetching perched upon it, though she can certainly be displayed on her own.  The tuffet may be used as a traditional pincushion, or to display a special broach or pin if you like.  It’s such great fun to challenge myself with new needle arts.  I must say it fills me with pride and warm feelings to know that I can help keep these lovely past times alive and well in this digital age! I never tire of learning!

I also made the little decorative pins out of polymer clay.  They will be included as well.
