    Israel thinks it doesn't need people like or orgs like , or even that local Israeli orgs like and harm the country. In fact, promoting human rights & exposing rights abuses is the only sane way forward. Good luck, Omar & good luck to us.

    Tomorrow & I back in Jerusalem District Court for likely final hearing in our challenge to Israel’s deportation order against me over my human rights advocacy. Stakes high: if intl community can’t stop deportation of someone documenting abuses, how will it ever stop abuses?

    Strawberries are an important source of income in Gaza for farmers and their families. The export and sale of strawberries from the Strip has yielded revenues of about 13m NIS so far this harvest season, a 290% improvement over last year! 🍓

    Actually Gaza & the West Bank have been split much longer. I deal daily with the issue of movement so let's be clear: The PA & Hamas are split politically. It's Israel who controls access & denies permits to families, business people & civil society working across the territory.

    Once again Saeb Erekat spreads misinformation, accusing me of trying to “separat[e] Gaza from the West Bank.” My reply: (1) Gaza & the West Bank have been separated for TEN years, physically & politically—between the PA & Hamas. Stop denying that reality... 1/3

    Rafah Crossing was reopened on February 3 & is due to remain open indefinitely. Salah A-Din Gate was reopened last Thursday, allowing goods that had been held up on the Egyptian side of the gate for as long as ten days to enter the Strip. Read more:
