    I agree. It is a powerful message. And has the advantage of not asking for any kind of “I was wrong the first time” concession. It just says to people: in the privacy of the polling booth, with nobody judging you, why not make the choice that means you can get on with your life?

    I think the best campaign slogan is “The quickest way to stop talking about Brexit is to stop Brexit”. Partly because most people are sick of it but it also gives Leave voters a face saving way to vote Remain.

    How was yesterday’s peaceful protest “anarchic” or “antidemocratic”? A huge number of voters calmly gathered outside their parliament to ask their elected representatives for a vote on an issue on which they disagree with current policy. You could not get a more democratic thing.
