    This is the number one thing I think about these days. Both kids are in early elementary and as a single parent the resources to go around simply aren’t there. The lack of early childhood education may be the greatest impact that we will feel for the next 20+ years.

    The learning loss impact of public schools closing or moving "online" on young children will be much more devastating to the rest of their lives than Covid.

    In the same way we look at data about new infections and spikes and whatnot. We should, this fall, closely monitor how many millions of children are not in school at any given time.
