    This looks like a good old fashioned Mammoth swarm. Used to happen many times a year in the 1980s and 1990s. The region almost never has isolated quakes - they always come in clusters. 4 M≥3 events in a day is an average sort.

    M4.2 quake near Julian and in/near Elsinore Fault Zone has strike-slip mechanism that matches with right lateral slip on fault aligned with Elsinore fault, but early aftershock orientation does not agree
