    60% of polled TEU staff members say there has not been sufficient consultation around name change. Clear that it’s more than just opponents of name change who think this has been badly mishandled.

    JUST IN: Tertiary Education Union poll of staff members: 50% oppose name change, 32% support, 18% undecided. Even more telling, nearly 60% say not sufficient consultation. Staff, students, alumni, community ... no support for this. cc

    If the Council wants to have its cake and eat it it could adopt the name Victoria University of Wellington, but hey that’s already taken by a globally ranked 100 yr old capital city university!

    First thread on consultation relating to the name change of . I disagree with 's comments this morning about comsultation. My view is that something has not gone right, but that it can still be fixed.

    Just emailed (or is it now ??) and expressing my concern about cynical the name change. I also hope reverses it's position of support given the majority of students consulted oppose the move.

    Well worth reading Senator McCain’s full statement. Ironically , there was a time when every Republican senator would have said the same about such a dismal performance by an American president.

    Today’s press conference in was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. My full statement on the :
