    I don’t see how it’s possible to avoid the conclusion that Corbyn simply doesn’t (or at best: didn’t) understand antisemitism. I don’t know how you can write a glowing foreword to a book which includes references like this:

    My advice to any Labour MP today: refuse to defend Jeremy Corbyn lauding a book containing classic antisemitic tropes. If he wants to defend the indefensible he should go on the airwaves and defend himself. He has a responsibility to explain himself.

    Just a tip for Labour spokespeople, like Rebecca Long-Bailey who was on the just now. When responding to allegations of antisemitism, NEVER LAUGH. That was shocking.

    There is nothing that can be said to defend this. Nothing at all If he was any other member, Corbyn would be investigated (and probably suspended) for antisemitism - and found guilty. If the Labour Party wants to genuinely claim it’s anti-racist, this must be investigated now

    As the mover of the motion unanimously carried at Lab Party conf I am calling on the NEC to abide by party policy. Any final Brexit deal must be put to the people for them to decide whether or not it’s acceptable. A tradition that has always applied in our movement

    Labour has a chance to knock this out of the park. It’s not just about Brexit, it’s a sense the country is on its knees, overrun by chaos, saddled with a gov which has no ideas and doesn’t care, and after 11 years of austerity we need change. But first we need clarity on Brexit.

    There was always a hard right vote, but it sat inside PP. Now Vox, led by ex-PP politicians, has set it free. Key thing here is that in 2016 PP got 33% on its own. In 2019, Vox and PP combined are on 27%. The hard right has gone backwards.
