    The Jewish resistance hero Simcha Rotem has died, but he will not be forgotten. He was the last surviving resistance fighter from the 1943 Warsaw ghetto uprising against the Nazi Holocaust. The courage, solidarity and heroism shown by him and his comrades is an inspiration.

    These poor young Jewish Americans! They went on a trip that my tax money and pro-Israel Jewish philanthropists funded and they didn’t get what they wanted on this Jewish trip! They wanted to see Palestine! These poor kids! Terrible! Give them what they want! For free! Pay for it!

    Today has been absolutely surreal. I woke up at 7am on a @birthrightisrael trip... and by 3pm I was standing on a street corner next to the Tel Aviv stock exchange with my luggage, trying to process getting kicked off the trip.

    Basically, throughout the entire trip it was pretty standard right-wing propaganda. *Literally* every single time an Arab or Palestinian was mentioned in a story, it was to talk about someone who was a crazy terrorist murderer who likes killing Jews for fun. Every. Single. Time.

    I’ve been on a number of info and training calls. None of these people care to “raise questions.” They’re temperamentally incapable of asking anything about the matzav. Of all the young Jews I’ve dealt with, they’re among the least troubled by self-doubt and nuance.

    I just had a long and productive call with President of Turkey. We discussed ISIS, our mutual involvement in Syria, & the slow & highly coordinated pullout of U.S. troops from the area. After many years they are coming home. We also discussed heavily expanded Trade.
