With the new Ionic docs, we asked, should docs be elaborate/fancy, or should they be super simple and blazing fast? We chose the latter. Not quite done w it (missing demos/mobile/better organization), but really proud of it. Great job and team

Ionic 4 is at least 1.5x faster than Ionic 3 in load & boot performance in Angular, and even faster when used with or another web component-based library. This makes it an industry leader for building Progressive Web Apps. Stay tuned for benchmarks and data 📊

Ionic now ships a public theming API, built on CSS variables, so that you never have to hack the internals and can easily upgrade to new versions of Ionic 🙌🏽

While Web Components work out of the box in most frameworks, we still need to ship support for a framework’s routing system for our native navigation ⚙️ React and Vue bindings are currently in early alpha and we’d love some help testing. More info 👉

This release is significant because Ionic is now distributed as a set of Web Components with small framework-specific bindings 🧲 This means: 🙅🏻‍♂️No more breaking if your framework updates 🛠Long-term stability due to Web API lifespan 💪🏽Support for all frameworks and tools
