Accessibility features

Google+ has accessibility features that make it easier to use.

In the Android app

You can turn on accessibility features for your Android device, including TalkBack and BrailleBack, to use with the Google+ Android app.

When you have TalkBack turned on, you can:

• Open a menu with actions you can take on a post by double-tapping on the post with one finger.
• Swipe up then right on a post to open a menu with actions you can take, like commenting, +1ing, or sharing.
• Scroll between posts in your home stream by swiping up or down with two fingers.
• Get more content in "full post" view by scrolling down.

In the iOS app

When you have VoiceOver turned on for your iOS device, you can:

• Open the "full post" view by double-tapping with one finger on a post.
• Open a menu with actions you can take on a post by double-tapping on the post with two fingers.
• Open a menu with actions you can take on a comment by double-tapping with one finger.
• Open links or +mentions in a comment by double-tapping with two fingers.
• Join or leave a Community by double-tapping the Community's name with two fingers.
• Follow or unfollow a Collection by double-tapping the Collection's name with two fingers.

On a computer or mobile browser

You can use ARIA-landmarks to navigate and find key-sections.

On a computer, you can see keyboard shortcuts by pressing the question mark key.

Using a screen reader, you can use HTML headings to navigate posts, comments, Collections, Communities, and settings.

Tip: Set your layout to single-column to make it easier to navigate through your home stream.
