The IBM Plex typeface is an open-source project and available for download and use following the Open Font License (OFL). The IBM Plex family comes in Sans, Serif, Mono and Sans Condensed, all with roman and true italics. The fonts have been designed to work well in user interface (UI) environments, as well as other mediums. This project provides all source files and file formats to support most typographical situations. Currently, IBM Plex Sans supports Extended Latin, Arabic, Cyrillic, Devanagari, Greek, Hebrew, Korean and Thai. -

3270font
A 3270 font in a modern format
This font is derived from the x3270 font, which, in turn, was translated from the one in Georgia Tech's 3270tool, which was itself hand-copied from a 3270 series terminal. I built it because I felt terminals deserve to be pretty. The .sfd font file contains a x3270 bitmap font that was used for guidance. The "source" file is edited using FontForge. You'll need it if you want to generate fonts for your platform. On most civilized operating systems, you can simply apt-get install fontforge, yum install fontforge or even port install fontforge. If you are running Windows, you'll probably need something like WSL or Cygwin, but, in the end, the font works correctly (with some very minor hinting issues). The easiest way to generate the font files your computer can use is to run make all (if you are running Ubuntu or Debian, make install will install them too). Using make help will offer a handy list of options. -

Inter
The Inter font family
Inter is a typeface carefully crafted & designed for computer screens. Inter features a tall x-height to aid in readability of mixed-case and lower-case text. Several OpenType features are provided as well, like contextual alternates that adjusts punctuation depending on the shape of surrounding glyphs, slashed zero for when you need to disambiguate "0" from "o", tabular numbers, etc. Using Inter is as easy as downloading & installing the font files. There's of course no absolute right or wrong when it comes to expressing yourself with typography, but Inter Dynamic Metrics provides guidelines for good typography. You simply provide the optical font size, and the tracking and leading is calculated for you to produce the best results. Inter is a free and open source font family. You are free to use this font in almost any way imaginable. Inter comes with many OpenType features that can be used to tailor functionality and aesthetics to your specific needs. -

Monocraft
A programming font based on the typeface used in Minecraft
Monocraft is a font for developers who like Minecraft a little too much. Featuring monospaced characters and tasteful ligatures, I've carefully designed each glyph in Monocraft to be usable in a dev environment while preserving that Minecraft charm. Try it out today and discover why nobody has ever done this before! The characters in this font were based on the typeface used in the Minecraft UI, with a select few glyphs updated for better readability and spacing. Each character has been carefully redesigned to work in a monospaced font. Thin characters like “i” and “l” have been reworked with tasteful tails and serifs to look better in a monospaced environment. Add some spice to your programming life with all new ligature characters. Arrows now look like arrows and comparison operators are easier to see at a glance. After following the installation instructions up above, simply select the "Monocraft" font (note the space) in any application that supports custom fonts. -

MuPDF is a lightweight PDF, XPS, and E-book viewer. MuPDF consists of a software library, command line tools, and viewers for various platforms. The renderer in MuPDF is tailored for high-quality anti-aliased graphics. It renders text with metrics and spacing accurate to within fractions of a pixel for the highest fidelity in reproducing the look of a printed page on the screen. The viewer is small, fast, yet complete. It supports many document formats, such as PDF, XPS, OpenXPS, CBZ, EPUB, and FictionBook 2. You can annotate PDF documents and fill out forms with the mobile viewers (this feature is coming soon to the desktop viewer as well). The command line tools allow you to annotate, edit, and convert documents to other formats such as HTML, SVG, PDF, and CBZ. You can also write scripts to manipulate documents using Javascript. The library is written modularly in portable C, so features can be added and removed by integrators if they so desire. -

Ark pixel font - Open source Pan-CJK pixel font / Ark pixel font - Open source Pan-CJK pixel font. An open-source pan-Chinese-Japanese-Korean pixel font. 10, 12 and 16 pixels are supported. The goal is to provide an out-of-the-box pixel font solution for game development that can be used for text. This project not only provides all the glyph source files, but also provides the complete program needed to build the font. This font is still in early development and still lacks a large number of Chinese characters in all sizes. Among them, 12 pixels are the main development target. 10, 16 pixels are experimental. Efforts are currently underway to achieve the availability of 12 pixels under the GB2312 character set. We have a temporary interim solution available for production until the full font is available, check out the Stitcher Pixel Font project. -

The icon can have 3 styles: regular, solid or brand. For each style, there is a corresponding class: lar, las or lab. Wherever you desire to place an icon simply insert the following code and change the class names (laX la-XXX) to correspond to the icon of your choice. To use Line Awesome in your favorite design tool just import desired fonts to your project and you are ready to go! Note: there are 3 files, one for each style (regular, solid, brands). Source Han Mono, which is derived from Source Han Sans and Source Code Pro, is an OpenType/CFF Collection (OTC) that includes 70 font instances—consisting of seven weights, five languages, and two styles—and is a Pan-CJK version of Source Han Code JP. This open-source project provides all of the source files that are necessary to build this OpenType/CFF Collection by using the AFDKO makeotf, tx, sfntedit, and otf2otc tools. The 70-font OpenType/CFF Collection, SourceHanMono.ttc, which is called a Super OTC due to its large number of font instances, can be easily downloaded from the Latest Release. Please be advised that the ZIP file for the Latest Release, which includes all of the source files and other collateral, is approximately 3.25GB. To build the Super OTC from source, you need to have installed the Adobe Font Development Kit for OpenType (AFDKO). The AFDKO tools are widely used for font development today, and are part of most font editor applications. -

Recursive Sans & Mono is a variable type family built for better code & UI. It is inspired by casual script signpainting, but designed primarily to meet the needs of programming environments and application interfaces. In programming, “recursion” is when a function calls itself, using its own output as an input to yield powerful results. Recursive Mono was used as a tool to help build itself: it was used to write Python scripts to automate type production work and to generate specimen images, and it was used in HTML, CSS, and JS to create web-based proofs & prototypes. Through this active usage, Recursive Mono was crafted to be both fun to look at as well as deeply useful for all-day work. Recursive Sans borrows glyphs from its parent mono but adjusts the widths of many key glyphs for comfortable readability. Its metrics are superplexed – every style takes up the exact same horizontal space, across all styles. -

Victor Mono is an open-source monospaced font with optional semi-connected cursive italics and programming symbol ligatures. The typeface is slender, crisp, and narrow, with a large x-height and clear punctuation, making it legible and ideal for code. It comes in seven weights and Roman, Italic, and Oblique styles. When it comes to programming fonts, I prefer something thin and relatively condensed, but with a more informal, flowing, and human style for standouts like comments and certain keywords. In the past, I always ended up looking for something else after using a font for a while, because something didn't look right to me. So I started sketching and designing something myself. I wanted something that had friendly and distinct italics. -

Ideally, the author's idea is to use this as a minimal "replacement" for bloated and complicated desktop environments. Pragmatically, what are the "benefits" in our daily life, especially for low-end devices. Realistically, be "grateful" to accept the existence of lightweight and non-proprietary software, and use it (instead of using pirated software). -

Source Han Code JP Version 2.010 is released. This version supports style-linking in apps that include 'B' (Bold) and 'I' (Italic) buttons in their font menu. The sorting of the font names in some apps is also improved. U+2423 '␣' OPEN BOX now has a monospaced horizontal advance of 667 units (the previous version used 1000 units). Style-linking is now supported correctly, meaning that you can access 'Bold' and 'Italic' styles by pressing the 'B' or 'I' buttons in apps that support style linking. Source Han Code JP is a derivative of Source Han Sans that replaces its proportional Latin glyphs with fixed-width 667-unit glyphs from Source Code Pro. The Latin glyphs are scaled to match the glyphs for Japanese kana and kanji, and their widths are adjusted to be exactly 667 units (two-thirds of an EM). Source Han Code JP is intended to be used as a UI font for mixed Latin and Japanese text on displays, for programming, editing HTML/CSS, viewing text or inputting to the command line. -
