10 Ways to Control Your Blood Pressure Without Medication
(http://ow.ly/nviu30kCSNB)

Hypertension is often dubbed "the silent killer" because it is often symptomless. However, there are some things you can do to lower your blood pressure levels. In addition to eating healthy and maintaining a healthy weight, doctors recommend getting about 30 minutes of exercise three to five days per week. This doesn't need to be intense exercise. If all you can manage is brisk walking around the block, then that is a great start. Movement and activity is the goal. Other ways to lower your blood pressure include:
-Quit smoking
-Reduce sodium (aim for 1,500 mg per day)
-Reduce stress levels

Note: In some cases, medication may be necessary to lower your blood pressure. Do not stop taking your medication unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Over 50 per cent of Americans do not get the recommended 150 minutes a week of moderate to vigorous physical activity. Can it be any wonder that health care costs grow every year when there are so many of us who fail to do the minimum to keep ourselves healthy? #exercise #weight #obesity

I took a course in the #brain last year and learned some fabulous facts. Your brain weighs 2 to 3 pounds, less than two percent of your body weight. I bet you would never guess how many calories this mass of curlicues in your head burns in 24 hours. You need around 2000 calories a day to maintain your body weight. #exercise #sleep
