Wanna see some awesome Disney Cosplay at D23 Expo 2017?
We ran into Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled at D23.
The word Cosplay, is a portmanteau of the words costume play, it's a performance art in which participants called Cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character. The rapid growth in the number of people Cosplaying as a hobby is huge. The fans have made the phenomenon a significant aspect of pop culture. Many Cosplayers create their own outfits, referencing images of the characters in the process. In the creation of the outfits, much time is given to detail, thus the skill of a Cosplayer may be measured by how difficult the details of the outfit are or how well they have been replicated. The appearance of Cosplayers at public events makes them a popular draw for photographers. As the popularity of Cosplay gets bigger, many conventions have come to feature a contest surrounding Cosplay, as Disney's D23 Expo does.
What is D23?
D23 Expo, the Ultimate Disney Fan Event. THE Comic Con of the Disney world. From animation, to feature films, to video games, Disney theme parks around the world, merchandise, music, cosplay, Disney bounding, presentations, panels, everything Amazing that you can imagine Disney related is here at the D23 Expo!
This expo though runs every 2 years. The most recent being in August of 2015, the most current was July 14 - 16, 2017, of this year. We, of course, attended the newest expo. We prefer to stay at the Hilton Anaheim hotel, for the purpose of being literally, right next to the convention center.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant
The ride was scheduled to be one of Disneyland's opening day attractions, but instead, opened a month after the park's grand opening. The original attraction opened in October 1955. Dumbo is one of only a few rides that can be found at all of Disney’s Magic Kingdom style parks around the world. Even though Dumbo is essentially just a simple amusement park ride, there’s something very appealing about flying on elephants. I remember lifting that lever for the first time.

For our newest Disney Series called DisneySide Photography Moments. There are many wonderful DisneySide Photography moments being captured everyday in the Disney Parks. Here at MrDizneyKing, we wanna share some of the best Disney moments with you. These photos are from fellow Disney fans like you and me. Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk through
On April 29, 1957, visitors were able to walk through the castle and view several dioramas depicting the story of Sleeping Beauty. The walkthrough reopened on November 27, 2008, drawing long lines going as far back as the Hub. For visitors who are unable to climb stairs or navigate the passageways of the Castle can still experience the walkthrough virtually in a special room. This room is themed, and presents the closed captioned CGI walkthrough recreation on a high-definition TV. I couldn't resist not taking a few pics for myself. I remember my first time walking through and getting scared by the goblins.

Disney Cast Members
Always take the time to let the Disney Cast Members know how special they are. Kindness goes a long way. The term comes from Walt Disney himself, when he was using theatrical terms for park operations. A cast member is a Disney employee that works at the Disney Parks or Disney stores. Most cast members have lanyards for Disney pin trading, for those who love to trade like myself. You're more than welcome to share your wonderful cast member stories in the comments below.

What are Porgs?
Porgs love Lightspeed A Lot!
The world has been asking the question that has been on everyone's mind. What or who, are these wonderful looking creatures, that have captured the hearts of millions across the world. Porgs are a sea bird species that lives on the planet Ahch-To, where Jedi Master Luke Skywalker hid in exile. The creatures, who dwelled on the cliffs of the island, can build nests and fly. Male porgs were known to be slightly bigger in size than females. Baby porgs are called porglets. They’re the Star Wars version of puffins, which is a species of bird found in the North Pacific Ocean and in the North Atlantic Ocean. I think a lot of people are going to want a porg as a pet after watching the movie this December. Lucasfilm announced an upcoming kids’ book called, "Chewie and the Porgs." The plot of the book is unknown but not sure if the book will be officially Canon, or just a kids book. The book will be released simultaneously with the move, The last Jedi, on December 15, 2017.
