For last week's Facebook #QUIZ we asked you to identify what's in the photo. The answer is #Cassava. Cassava is one of the most important food crops in the world. Approximately 600 million people in Africa, Asia and Latin America depend on cassava for food and income. #IFAD has made efforts to increase the focus of its cassava initiatives to determine the best ways to link supply and demand and strengthen the integration of participants within the cassava market. #IFAD has invested a total of US$ 110.0 million in cassava value chains in Western and Central Africa.
