I was just setting up Mosh on my virtual server and got the mental image of +Richard Kolb chanting 'Mosh Mosh Mosh' stuck in my head from the old Playground (based on EW-too, a multi-user chat-over-telnet program) days...that was a fun memory.

Yay for helping MSF!
Until Aug 2, Humble Bundle is having a sale on specific video games with 10% of proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders!
From the list, I highly recommend Bastion. It's a fun game with great music and voice acting!

What a disgusting move. Stay classy SourceForge.
It appears that +SourceForge took over the control of the 'GIMP for Windows' account and is now distributing an ads-enabled installer of GIMP. They also locked out original owner of the account, Jernej Simončič, who has been building the Windows versions of GIMP for our project for years.
So far they haven't replied to provide explanations. Therefore, we remind you again that GIMP only provides builds for WIndows via its official Downloads page.

The NI shirt is amazing! Can't beat combining NIN with Monty Python.

I do like using my current phone (the Xperia Z1 Compact) as my everyday phone, and I'm sure eventually Ill get the Z3 compact. But what I WANT is a US version of the Moto Maxx, i.e. a GSM version of the Droid Turbo. Great battery, decent (but not GIGANTIC) screen size, good camera, Motorola's software tweaks, and no silly flaps on the charger ports etc.
Come on Motorola, bring the phone to the US outside of Verizon.

Oh my GAWD. Saw my first iPhone 6 user today, just way, waaay too into his new phone. Actually sticking his tongue out and laughing at some funny picture. I wonder if people who get iDevices on launch think they are contractually obligated to act like they are having the most fun they've ever had when using it.
Then I watched him struggle to reach the top left of the screen with his thumb. Yeah welcome to 2 years ago with Android devices dude.

I don't understand why this market is so hard to get right! Cord cutters like myself are willing to pay a fairly substantial up-front cost for an OTA DVR, we just want a good set top viewing experience and a non-terrible mobile experience, with minimal monthly fees. Didn't say 0, just minimal. TiVo just blew it again by releasing a new DVR which actually isn't terrible at receiving OTA signals for once, but they have no lifetime service option. Yes I'm a cord cutter, so you ask me to rent my DVR service instead? What are you THINKING?
At the moment I'm still stuck with a TiVo with lifetime service + a Slingbox, a very sub-optimal solution that's at least 3 years old. Tablo and Simple.TV both have extreme issues with the set top experience, which is presumably a factor of the low quality of the phone/tablet apps. Seriously guys, we want mobile yes, but you HAVE to deliver a great set top experience when you're talking about watching TV!
