This app is an unofficial fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site. I created it because I am a fan of fanfiction, and I wanted to help people access the stories they love. No subscription is needed to use this app. Downloading and using this app is not a substitute for getting an Invitation to post stories on AO3; nobody needs an Invitation to read stories on AO3, or give kudos. Archive Of Our Own is created, hosted and maintained by a team of volunteers, and they do not ask anyone to pay to share or read stories on the site.
Never lose your place when reading works on Ao3 when using Archive Track Reader. It's integrated location tracking remembers exactly where you at when you last read a work.
Use the Reading List so you know if and when a work has been updated and how many chapters you are yet to read.
Use Archive Track Reader Cloud Sync and synchronize your tracked locations and your reading list across all your devices.

I can't typically say this, but the app is much better on Windows - the UX on Android is really bad: the way the navigation and title bars are set up, users lose about an inch of screen space. Also, the navigation bar should be at the bottom of the screen, not the top, and users should be able to get rid of the useless title bar. I appreciate the fact that the app exists, but it needs some improvements.

Whatever update was done has made this so annoying to use. There's some weird bouncing to the scrolling, so every swipe up or down goes opposite after a second. It's awful. Also, maybe night mode could be you, know, actual night mode. With a black background instead of white? Saves battery and eyes.

Whatever you guys did, it kinda messed up the app when it comes to scrolling, because it's difficult to maneuver through pages without jumping up to already read section of a story instead scrolling down. Not to mention, there's a problem with loading up my favorite tags, as the story selections don't show up unless you scroll down (at least that's how I noticed it). If I were you folks, rollback the update a bit for scrolling, because debuff and it wasn't broken at all in the previous update.

I don't know what you've done with the scrolling, but it's now either bouncing or I have to really jam my finger on the screen and drag to make it go where I need to go. Kinda crucial that this doesn't happen in a reading app. Please fix.
The update with new interface makes this app unusable for me. The page load normally then immediately reload indefinitely with "loading" status. Had to on/off the app several times to get it to work. The scroll function also wonky. I wish I can revert back to old version.

It lags a lot and scrolling is unresponsive. Also, what brain dead moron decided that stories on your list should be sorted by pairing rather than something sensible like source material?

I used to adore this app but now it's lagging extremely and it takes centuries to load. If you fix it I will gladly turn my rating into 5 stars again.
I really like this app, and I'm forever grateful for it, but the recent updates kind of hindered it a bit! Scrolling is much harder, and also if you go back enough pages in a fandom section it starts malfunctioning and pushes you back to say page 4 when you keep pressing page 9. It'll go to page 9, but as soon as you touch the screen it reloads and you're back on page 4 and no matter what it will continue to do this. It's very frustrating :(
I tryed to understand how this apps works but I can't even make it atlest to put it in night mood! I don't know maybe I'm stupied but I find myself really understand and being smart with FanFaiction app without a f**king headache with this f**king app
I dont know whats wrong but its really lagging for me, didnt want to load after filtering
I can't even open it without it messing up. The update broke the app
I'm glad there's an app. I'm glad it has Night mode. I don't like that it's basically a browser that exactly duplicates what I see in a normal web page. I don't want to see the Toolbar, or back buttons. A menu should accomplish this. Hoping that future updates incorporate some of the same UX ideas used by ff dot net's app or even Kindle for library and menu utilization.
The list of stories in work section are missing and it didn't came out after I log into my account. It is so annoying. I'm more prefer the previous version because the list of story didn't missing. Please fix this problem. I will rate 5 star if you fix this.
Awesome app to publish stories! I love it! Tho the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is cause you have a certain amount of days to publish your draft. So it may make the writer/author feel rushed.
Good app only wish the nightmode covered the actual reading material as well not just the settings and toolbar. Also the toolbar is a bit annoying, the night mode I can live without but the bar really distracts/irritates during reading. Please fix this and I will give it 5 stars. But even with these slight issues I have I still love the app and very much appreciate whoever made this, kudos to you my friends 😉
My biggest and probably only complaint is the slide right/left thing. I want to turn it off completely it is really distracting as I scroll through the page and I have in fact messed around with the settings. So if there is a way idk.
I have been unable to get the app to load a story I am reading for 2 days now. It worked fine 2 days ago. What gives? Also dark mode doesn't apply to the story??
Serviceable but no better then visiting the site on a normal web browser. It's not optimized for mobile. I see no point in taking up space on my phone for it.
When people read they want to read and not see all the additional to the top of the scene or this big discription box that distracts you and takes up the whole screen. App also needs some simplicity because I dont know if there is a way to read chapter by chapter and not have to scroll and scroll.
I like the display, but then everytime I want to search up something specific it's pretty frustrating because it has to be carefully worded and done exactly right. I wish it was more general
I don't lie the user interface. The app isn't pleasing to the eye because of the way it's designed, therefore, although the books are great, the app itself seems amateur-ish and not exactly exciting.
Only problem for me is that the dark mode feature doesn't work. Hurts the eyes. Restarted it and nothing happens. Only the nav bar is darkened.
Tbh the app is okay, it works fine in a sense that there's nothing wrong with it but it takes forever to load up every time I want to open the app - in my opinion, it would be quicker to just go to the website itself rather then use the slow app which is a downer because I was really looking forward to Ao3 getting an app.
The apps have scrolling problem. Many times i tried to scroll down or up, the font would suddenly became so tiny, and when i adjust the font size, i lose the sentence that i last read. This happen so many times that i have to uninstall.. really frustrating and not worth it.
My biggest problem with this app is when I browse through the stories. It'll first show all of my choices but before I even click one they all disappear. It makes browsing impossible.
Great app, but the dark scheme needs to apply to the actual text, making the text white and the background black, not just the menus, then it would be perfect!
The bookmarks have been fixed! Everything I use is working just fine now. Thank you~ 🐱
It's pretty shite, you (well, I) don't know what the buttons on the top do and no explanations were given, it's fairly reminiscent of a browser, and I'm pretty sure that it's not the official app, given this (crappy) quality.
Everything is working how it should. Thank you for fixing the bookmarks' issue. And generally thank you for this app and filters in it.
I was sceptical at first but after using it for a while I think it's my favorite app
So far so good! Just...where can I find night mode if there is one?
I didn't know that the site got an app? That's amazing.
My app won't even load, just a black screen appears when I click on it..
I do love this app, but so far it keeps crashing down and I don't know why. ❤❤😕😕
I can't seem to get to the email recovery I want to sign back in but I cant
