trying to post, sans picture

I don't have much time.

I've been getting a strange error notice when posting with a picture or two. I really want to know if anyone else has been having the problem. This is a beta blog. I haven't tried picture posting on Shiloh Musings, which is an "old blogger" blog.

Strangely, I've noticed something rather interesting. Posting pictures by mail seems much quicker, certainly is much quicker, than any other way. I just block/copy/paste the picture onto the yahoo letter along with the text and then mail the whole kit and caboodle to my posting address. If you blogger-bloggers haven't set up one of those, I suggest you do. You can see on the two posts, scroll down, I've posted by mail, that, besides the yahoo footers, the posts including pictures look great. There's no wait; the pictures go up. I guess they're "linked" to the email.

I have a busy day planned. I just went through my last few months of discs to see if there are any with pictures to print. Looks like I'll be sitting in Photo Nissim for a while today.

The big question is:

Will the weather clear or not?

I just noticed something

When beta rejected Shiloh Musings, it claimed the reason was the over one thousand (1,000) posts filed away. But just now, when I looked at me-ander's dashboard, I saw that there were already over one thousand eight hundred (1,800) posts, unless I was hallucinating.

Hmmmmmmmmm

Makes you sort of wonder, doesn't it?

They lobbied and nudged so hard, made it impossible for me to blog, when they wanted me-ander. It seems like they don't want Shiloh Musings. At least not yet.

Besides the spellcheck, I've discovered something else good in beta. When you change the template, it's enough to save your changes, you don't have to republish for them to show. That's a big time-saver.

Is there anything extremely good or bad I haven't noticed yet?

I do love the spellcheck on beta, but there are some problems.

But there's a problem with beta. If I'm searching for an old post I have to go into archives month by month now. Previously, I would just click the oldest "recent post," and then each time, the recent posts were relative to whatever was on the screen. It made thngs easy.

Yes, nothing's perfect, and maybe they'll fix it!

Rejected!

Beta has rejected Shiloh Musings. After all of my refusals and rants, as you know I finally had to sign up this blog.

And now I'm embarrassed to admit that my fears were for nought. There's even one thing which is very different, and I love it! It's the spellcheck.

Nu? What's the problem you ask? You do, don't you?

Beta can't handle the larger blogs, those with over 1,000 posts. When they can, they'll call.

some quick visits

I haven't done much blog-visiting recently. Let's see how much I can do before my husband finishes dinner and wants to catch up on his emails, blogging etc.

Did you know that the weather isn't always "vacation perfect" in Hawaii? Poor Wendy!

I don't have to do word verification when I comment on my own blog, if I'm signed-in to my own blog.

Re- the labels; I wonder what good they will do.

I'll tell you what happened. I just decided,

this is only a blog, it's
not worth getting all hysterical about. You know, it's not life and death,
just a bloody blog, if you'll excuse my language!

I just hope that beta has a beta spellcheck!

So far, it seems pretty similar.

You have to choose your battles wisely, and I decided not to fight this one. So, I guess when they start stopping me from oldblogging Shiloh Musings, I'll switch.

I guess resuming my walking with a friend this morning put me in a more rational state of mind.
