I was one of those hyperactive kids who drive their mothers crazy during summer holidays, asking for things to do.
I started knitting out of frustration at never finding anything my size, and also because it satisfied the need to be always doing something.
I continued with it because I love the feel and feeling of stuff – and the process and discipline involved in making things.
Now I knit for the pleasure of making beautiful and useful things; for the pleasure of tangible and visible accomplishment; for the pleasure of having something unique.
Besides, a well made sweater lasts way longer than an elaborate dessert…

I was surfing tonight and saw your shifting sands cardi on this blog: http://www.honeybearlane.com/2011/09/pinterest-picks-fall-fashion.html No credit given for your work from what I can tell, thought you might want to know.
Thanks for letting me know! I’ll contact them.
