Welcome!!
About Me
Hi, My name is Cindy. I was a stay at home-schooling mom. It was my dream job, and now my three children are up and grown and I am left with an empty nest. Now is the time to follow new dreams. I have always loved antiques, vintage style and interior design. Creating a home of beauty, living a simple lifestyle, and learning new things are a constant source of enjoyment for me. With the love and support of my husband, faith and family I hope to follow those dreams and see where they take me!
About French Grey
French Grey is my business including all things vintage, french, garden and simple style. Mostly selling at local antique and vintage shows, I plan to expand into interior and garden design services.
I stumbled upon a nice term for the tarnish that gets into the details of silver ~ french grey. It perfectly describes the aesthetic I hope to achieve in my home and through this blog. Join me as I find flea market finds, share design inspiration and everyday life in rural Montana.
I would love to hear from you. You can contact me at [email protected].
Thanks for stopping by!

Cindy-You and I are indeed sisters of different Mums. 🙂 My Mum was born in Minot, ND but lived her life all over the US and Canada. My Grandparents were from Canada/Scotland and lived with us when I was a wee lass. Anyway,.I do love perusing your blog and wish for a place for my old and chippy/tarnished wares as well. Hopefully soon, I will have my own blog up and running for you to take a peak at. Dalenbeth
Appreciate your comment! I am so thankful for my heritage. Blogging is way more fun and work than I thought, but I am loving it! Looking forward to seeing your blog.
Cindy
Hi! Saw that you’re in Montana. Me too. 🙂 Just had to send a note your way to say hi and introduce myself.
Katie

Hey Kathleen

Hi Kim,
I am glad you found me too! I live in Stevensville, down the Bitterroot Valley, south of Missoula. Where did you live in MT?

I really love your images. They are truly inspirational. Where do you find your things from? Do you sell online? Jacky
Hey Jacky,
Right now I have a booth at a local antique mall, however an online shop is in the works!!

I understand this is kind of off topic but I was wondering if you knew somewhere I could possibly acquire a
captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one?
. Now I remember why I used to love this site.
Kudos, I will try and check back more regularly. .
How frequently do you update your blog.?

Hi Cindy, I love reading your blog. I wish that we had more of the lovely antiques that you have in the US. I am ‘white’ woman and it so frustrates my family who love colour but I feel white is so soothing and brings out he very best in the details of the objects that you place around the house to make it home. Keep up the inspiring pictures and words
Thank you for your kind words Jo! I too, am a white woman living in a “lodgey” state! Stay true,
Cindy
Hi Cindy – I’m wondering if you still carry furniture/decor at the Missoula antique mall. I was there last summer and was super sad I didn’t have my truck with me to haul some of your amazing things – in particular a white drop leaf table. Do you happen to know if it’s still there by any chance? 🙂
Hi Jessica,
So glad you found me at the Antique Mall in Missoula! I’m sorry, the table sold awhile ago, but I always have new things coming in! Hope to see you next time you’re in town 🙂
Blessings,
Cindy
Hi Cindy, are you still thinking of adding a store to your site? I happily found your space at the Missoula mall and would love to be able to shop online with you 🙂
Hi Cindy,
I was wondering if you still have a booth at the Missoula Antique Mall?
I didn’t see it the last time I was there, but perhaps I just missed it!
Love your style & offerings!
Traci
Hi Traci!
I am no longer at the antique mall as of the first of the year. If there’s anything in particular that you are interested in you can IM me on Instagram @cindygardnerdesign or on my French-grey.com facebook page. I might be at the Prairie Sisters in May, still deciding. Thanks for asking, it’s nice to be missed 😊
