Volkswagen to cut 30,000 jobs, shift to electric

German car-maker Volkswagen plans to cut 30,000 job by 2021 as part of a turnaround plan agreed with labour unions, German media reports. The long-term strategy would shift the dieselgate scandal-plagued company to electric and self-driving cars. Meanwhile, the company plans to create 9,000 new jobs through investments in electric car technology.
