Love

art-studio

Hi scrappers! Today, I hope to inspire you with another layout using Just Nick Studio’s digital cut file and Clique Kit’s February kit. I love working with digital backgrounds and the heart background really caught my eye. I used lime cardstock to really make the cut file pop off the page. This layout was super simple to make. I just layered some patterned paper together for the base, cut the image from my Silhouette Portrait, and added some mist and embellies.

love-001

I added some random heart stickers and chipboard to the digital cut file. The little banners were stamped images that I applied to scraps of patterned paper and hand-cut them to use as embellishments. It makes the hearts stand out much nicer than without.

I added some mini word stickers, butterfly rub-on and some Nuvo dots at the bottom to fill in the layout a bit.

Thanks for visiting today!

Geek Lab- Hello Little Critter

13738133_10206587473420812_3012027118225482067_o

Happy Thursday!  For my page today, I decided to use a tool that rarely gets used from my stash: punches, along with my February Kit.  I used some small circle punches to add some bright spots of color to my layout below:

hello-little-critter

For the rest of my page, I kept to a palette of cool colors with the purples, teals, and mint in a simple layout design with a black of patterned paper on the left and another on the right and a strip of gingham down the middle. Centering a photo on this strip helps guide your eye to the photo.

For embellishing, I fussy cut some of the black and white flowers and added some white tags for journaling.

I felt like I needed something to “pop” on the page, and was playing around with other papers, but I tried a tiny bit of this corrugated cardboard from Fancy Pants and it really helped add some amazing contrast.

I actually tried to cut to corrugated cardboard using a cut file and my Silhouette, but it was an epic fail!   The cardboard ripped and the design did not cut.  Perhaps a deep blade would work?  Anyways, I decided just to stick with some simple circles that I punched with some circle punches.

Yearbook: Adventure Awaits

blog-image_yearbook

Hi everybody. I’ve been using the heck out of the February Clique Kit. It’s so pretty not to. I used a lot of scraps and leftover embellishments for this layout. I really liked the notebook print and the globe from the cut-apart paper so naturally, I found a way to use it. And of course I had to find somewhere to put the cute bubble bee sticker.

I almost passed on the add-ons this month because I thought I had enough embellies, but I caved and bought them because I just can’t help myself when it comes to cute little embellishments. I have no will power. This layout was super simple to create. I simply adhered two strips of patterned papers to the cardstock then cut a few cards from the cut-apart papers, added my photos and filled the naked spaces with scraps, stickers and die cuts.

Locker Room-My Whole World

Blog Image_Locker Room

Hello again friends!  I am so grateful every time I find myself here writing another piece of (hopefully) inspiration for you.  The beautiful kits always inspire me to create something new and this month’s kit is especially beautiful!  Here is a quick look at the kit that you can find in the shop here.

fullsizeoutput_3929

For today’s layout I was inspired to use this month’s wonderful cut file.  Can you even take in all the cuteness?!  I wanted to focus on the little guys that make up my whole world and tell the story of my 4 kids.

ck-feb17-cuts-web2_orig

To start the layout I cut the file out of white card stock from my stash.  Next, I used white embroidery floss and hand-stitched around the outside of the globe.  I backed the open globe with the etched wood veneer.

ckmywholeworld1

I surrounded the globe with flowers from the ephemera pack and flowers fussy cut from patterned papers in the kit.  I also added a few of the stunning puffy stickers flowers from the Hazelwood add-on.

ckmywholeworld2

In line with the theme I embellished the globe with a few chipboard hearts and a small bundle of string.

ckmywholeworld3

For my title I used the gold thinkers in the kit.  I adore the script letters!

ckmywholeworld4

For a few final accents I added the chipboard arrows and stamped the date.  I adore the final spread.  I love how easy the layout came together working with such lovely products!

I hope this has given you a few ideas on how you can play with the fun embellishments in this months kits.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a beautiful Monday and capture some memories!

Geek Lab: Love

GeekLab

Hello Clique friends! Maryám here again to show you a layout made using a cut file of this month, but as you know, I don’t have Silhouette Cameo, so I decided to print the PNG image and then add stitching around the globe. ck-feb17-cuts-web2_orig

This is the result!

mperez_feb17_love

I used my Prima watercolors to paint into the globe, and also I added some flowers and butterflies to give a little bit of interest to my page.

mperez_feb17_love2

For the title I used the beautiful gold stickers that came in the kit, and formed the word love. I’ve chosen that word because I love the photo.

mperez_feb17_love3

In this layout I wanted to try something different with the rub-ons, so I put a couple of them on a piece of acetate and this is how them look. I think they look wonderful. Definitly, I’m going to do it on my next pages.

mperez_feb17_love4

mperez_feb17_love5

The last thing that I want to mention: I added the journaling (wrote by my typewriter) on the left side of the photo.

mperez_feb17_love6

Guys, I hope you liked this page, and if you are subscriber, you have the cut files and printables on the “Monthly Downloads” tab. Don’t forget to use them, because they are awesome!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wander and Wonder: Yearbook

13708352_10206587466700644_3123589168410663782_o

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing a page I made with the February Kit and also one of the cut files that comes with it.

wander-oftern

I began by added some mist and watercolors to my background and then stitched a circle.

wander-often-2

I cut my cut file from white cardstock and backed it with yellow patterned paper.  The flowers I cut from Navy paper and filled with light blue paper.

wander-oftern

I added a few of the beautiful butterfly rub-ons, die cuts, and cork in clusters around the page.

A little “Yearbook” tip: As always, I add journaling telling my story.  Usually it is hand written.  But one thing that I ALWAYS add to every page is also the date on a label.  I find that with pages about kids especially, it is hard to remember the exact year or day, so I think it is an important piece to add to the page!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!
